The deal here is that this child, according to expert testimony, including from the mother's expert Dr. Albritton, is "fluid."

Having empathy is one thing; assuming as fact what has yet to be established is another. It's begging the question.

She so desperately wants to ruin her SON's life.

No matter which parent wins in the end, the kid is still going to be a mental case when he gets older because of this crap. It'll mostly be mom's fault, for trying to turn HIM into something HE's not and forcing HIS father to fight this in court (and public opinion).

I have no idea what's going on with Anne Georgulas and what her intentions are...or the father's either. I'm curious about the two teenagers' opinions (adopted by Georgulas). And I worry about James's twin Jude, the forgotten child in all of this.

Our gender identity and sexual orientation do not change from birth. That is why reparative therapy and other attempts to change them fail and usually cause other problems such as depression and anxiety.

APA Reiterates Strong Opposition to Conversion Therapy

Washington, D.C. – In the wake of recent popular entertainment portrayals of conversion therapy, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) today reiterates its long-standing opposition to the practice. APA made clear with its 1998 position statement that “APA opposes any psychiatric treatment, such as “reparative” or “conversion” therapy, that is based on the assumption that homosexuality per se is a mental disorder or is based on the a priori assumption that the patient should change his or her homosexual orientation.”

APA expanded on that position with a statement in 2013: “The American Psychiatric Association does not believe that same-sex orientation should or needs to be changed, and efforts to do so represent a significant risk of harm by subjecting individuals to forms of treatment which have not been scientifically validated and by undermining self-esteem when sexual orientation fails to change. No credible evidence exists that any mental health intervention can reliably and safely change sexual orientation; nor, from a mental health perspective does sexual orientation need to be changed.”

Sex change surgery isn't conversion therapy and nothing you've presented even addresses my assertions regarding gender.

They are on the days that they "identify" as the gender that is the opposite of what their genitals reveal. And not transgendered on the days they don't.

The fact that their gender identity is variable means that they are not transgendered. They are gender fluid, which means that it changes. Transgendered people's gender identity doesn't change with their moods. It is consostant but it is also incongruent with their biological gender.

How many times do I need to explain this simple concept to you, in multiple threads?

I never said that gender reassignment surgery was conversion therapy, because it isn't.

Trying to change a person's incongruent gender identity or to change their sexual orientation back to them being CIS or to being heterosexual is conversion therapy, and it doesn't work.

Changes from the male gender to the female gender. And they are transgendered when they identify as the sex opposite of the one their genitals reveal.
