Many of those illegal border crossers have the bat fever. They get in, no testing needed! Then he ships them all over the country! Joe is truly a wise president, aint he?
 
Sites here in NJ can’t even stay open the hours they say they will be because SO many people are trying to get tested.


Did I miss a memo somewhere that says you *need* a Covid test to sit at home if you’re sick?


My neighbor waited 5 hours to get tests for her family. They have symptoms no more significant than a headache and sniffles. (All vaccinated)


Can someone truthfully explain the run on getting tested right now?


Did everyone collectively lose all of their common sense?

TEXAS EO GA-38 by Gov Abbott:

No governmental entity, including a county, city, school district, and public health authority, and no governmental official may require any person to wear a face covering or to mandate that another person wear a face covering;
State living centers, government hospitals, TDCJ and TJJD facilities, and county and municipal jails can continue to use appropriate policies regarding masks.

Order GA-38 supersedes any face-covering requirement issued by a local government. Any conflicting limitations issued by a local government is considered a "failure to comply with this order" and is subject to a fine of up to $1,000.
One notable change in this order is that it removes the ability granted by GA-34 [PDF] for local governments in areas of "high hospitalizations" to implement local mask orders.

Texas challenged the Biden administration on Friday over its Covid vaccine mandate for private businesses, arguing that the new federal requirements are unconstitutional.

This guy's got some big cajones asking for Covid resources when he's done everything in his power to eliminate the best preventatives against Covid there are. I honestly don't think it would be one bit unreasonable for Biden to say Sure, as soon as you rescind those bans and withdraw from the OSHA lawsuit. If Texas wants help, it can stop actively resisting prevention. To me, that only makes sense. Do they give lung transplants to smokers?
 
At least people there have the option of monoclonal antibody treatment sites.

Google doesn’t even bring up a choice of those in NJ.

I heard on the radio it's because of all the New Year's Eve partying tonight. And probably general traveling during the school holidays.

But it's a good thing to know if your sniffles are sniffles or Covid. Preventing spread is important, right?

You have to go through a doctor, or hospital. You do in Maine, too.

NJ.GOV says:

Many hospitals and treatment centers are now giving monoclonal antibody therapies known as Bamlanivimab/Etesevimab and Casivimerab/Imdemivab. If you have taken a COVID-19 PCR or antigen test and had a positive result, contact your health care provider or nearest hospital or medical facility as soon as posssible afterwards to see if you are eligible for either of these highly effective treatments.

Interesting that in places like TX and FL you can apparently just get them?
