Tennessee passes 'chemtrail' bill banning airborne chemicals

So you're saying there are no safety regulations on cloud seeding?
There are no federal safety regulations on cloud seeding. The federal government has no position on the matter other than it hast to be reported. The regulation of it is left to the States.

You should try reading legislation instead of just running with “critics say.” The bill “As enacted, prohibits the intentional injection, release, or dispersion, by any means, of chemicals, chemical compounds, substances, or apparatus within the borders of this state into the atmosphere with the express purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or the intensity of the sunlight.”

It is a prohibition on cloud seeding and geoengineering.

Cloud seeding cab help reduce damage from hail storms.

Would you not think that is a good idea?

Now what if someone is breathing heavily and says it is to change the temperature ie breathing on his hands, is that a violation?

Now as for jet aircraft the contrails reduce sunlight is that a violation?

What it means is that the State of Tennessee has banned cloud seeding and geoengineering activities within its borders. Which it does have jurisdiction over.

How does it get into the clouds?

Typically a plane like a crop duster flying above a cloud and releasing the silver iodine into it. With the intent to create lots of smaller hail stones early in the development of the thunderstorm. Before large hailstones can form

Cloud seeding is banned in 10 States. I think it’s inadvisable to modify weather when the downstream impacts can’t be predicted.

Don’t be obtuse. “Express purpose.”

I am told that attracts aliens. Or Elvis.

A plane you say?

I might be mistaken - hear me out - but doesn't the FAA regulate airplane safety?
Cloud seeding and geoengineering has nothing to do with airplane safety. The FAA does not regulate those activities. They are regulated by the States.

And interestingly enough, all airspace in the US is considered...federal airspace.

So yeah, the FAA might just be involved.

I’d say it’s amazing how ignorant certain members choose to remain on the subject, but I’ve come to expect it. Of course, the OP dredged up a piece of legislation he didn’t read and which passed in a Republican State in April of 2024. But apparently had/has nothing to say about the loony left State of Rhode Island doing the same thing three months earlier. 🤔
