Steve Bannon said the central tenet of the trump Presidency was tearing down of the administrative state. This tearing down, is intended to destroy faith in institutions. The right wing chides any that question this, by saying they are weak, for NEEDING a leader. The right wing arrogates to itself, the task of changing human evolution, and bringing us back to a hunter gatherer stage of development. Never mind that ALL hunter gatherers are ruled by some power, and subject to far greater scrutiny than now, and even original colonies.
Trump, and the right wing want to destroy government, so that we the people will have no faith in it to solve any human problem. So, that means we are paying for function, and getting the opposite, to TRAIN us away from expecting any performance out of our tax dollar. To also make us scream for a refund for dismal performance. The right wing is IMPLIMENTING a banana republic, to further their political ends.
At the same time, they ASSURE us all, that the one REAL task gov is GREAT at, is protecting us. They say Gov is awesome at military, but cant do anything else. Well, cept go to space. Rural right wingers, see no need for infrastructure, and feel all others, should suffer the paucity of all access, as they do. City folk dont deserve so many parks. Hell, the national parks should all be drilled to pay for the camping and rangers.
The post office is not an isolated incident. It is not a fluke. Trump is installing TEMPS in all positions, as he says, he likes temps. he can get them not to buck his evil intentions. He is installing partisan assassins, in every position he can. They are corrupt, and serve only to serve Trump. Which is to say, DESTROY the functionality of any area they manage. This is playing out in every dept of gov. We will not even know the level of damage Trump has wrought, until we have a less partisan accounting.
While Trump clowns, and takes up all the news space on his insane threats and brain farts, his minions are about, destroying EVERY govt function.
Folks, we are paying OBAMA era functionality costs, for disaster at every turn. And any complaint, gets a scolding about expecting anything else from gov. When govt kills, hey, that is JUST the cost of doing business. Same as all the deaths from guns. JUST the cost of the GREATEST NATION EVER ON THIS PLANET.
The right wing is literally, aiming for real poverty, criminalizing homelessness, RURAL level of infrastructure in cities, ALL yes men, that will do as commanded without remorse. Purge of all men of conscience.
This is not a mistake. The right wing is high fiving, on all the govt screwups. GOOD, now them sheep wont bleet for equality. Opportunity. Level playing field. LEARN your place, lib.

What the 'deconstruction of the administrative state' really looks like
Still, Kushner's idealized conception of government as a business and citizens as consumers of its product is perhaps the cleanest and most accessible explanation of what a depleted "administrative state" would yield.
That is, a fundamental remaking of the relationship between the people and the state, with an expanding gap between what Americans have come to expect from government and what it would be equipped to provide.
