Syrian opposition welcomes Obama's announcement.....

seems we're back at the "Red Line" thingy and the "international community"

Nice how Iran, with her $600 billion in restored sanction money is joining in the fray.....

The past, it seems, continues to haunt Mr. Obama's foreign policy

Obama will still be shooting himself in his foreign policy foot on his last day as he leaves the WH. Someone should tell him that those wounds tend to linger.

I agree.

He is so far out of his league it's like being in another galaxy.

He has surrounded himself with yes men, and lickspittle, and now has created literal chaos. He is knee jerk reacting to what's showing on the table and the mood of the American public, while not realizing there are cards not yet played.

One of them I suspect is him.

Putin's had his number since day one, has him hog tied and on the ropes in Ukraine, unable to forge a real coalition here and blocking the very UN resolution Syria is demanding.

There has to be a "how the **** did THIS happen" moment in here somehwere..

Let's hope that moment, at the very least, has arrived. Surely that the Brits and the Germans aren't buying into his recent conversion would tell some people somewhere something meaningful, because it's a very short trip from "no strategy" to "requiring a coalition" in just two weeks.

Isn't "no strategy" and "requiring a coalition" the same?

And how is this a situation different from last spring's "Red line"?

Don't worry HB.....BO will be Heading a Chair in the UN Assembly, next month.....to hammer out a global strategy.

Ha! It is to the Brits and Germans, anyway.

It isn't, and it's sad. Domestic polling drives every aspect of our foreign policy. No wonder it's a shambles.
