There was a war in Cyprus?
OK but if it was sanctioned by the UN, and the coalition that fought the war comprised of 34 countries, what is the difference? The US still had nearly 80% of the troops in that war, even though it wasn't our problem. Europe barely lifted a finger.
Good, so you admit the US pays the most for the UN, more than any other country.
No, the UN would become irrelevant. It would become a bunch of talking heads that nobody listens to, much like the EU of today only with a few third world countries added.
I'm not being arrogant, I'm being realistic. The United States is the world's only superpower. It is the strongest nation to ever exist in the history of the world. We are comparatively stronger than the Roman Empire was at the height of its power, stronger than the British Empire, stronger than every single country in the entire continent of Europe combined.
How was it the British Pete.....when the French just like with Libya, officially recognized the Syria Rebels first before all others and was the Very First pushing for Armed Intervention?
Can you explain how the French could Officially recognize AQ, the MB and Al Nusra? Don't you think the French should be Punished for making such a Universal and Colossal mistake in the world. Shouldn't the French have to suffer the error of their ways.
Wtf are you babbling about? The French recognized the Syria opposition, not AQ, the MB or Al Nusra. Talk about irrational hate towards the French gezz. Grow up, you would not have a nation if it was not for the French.
What the hell are you talking about? They Recognized the Opposition.....the Opposition are those groups. Without them the FSA is nothing and could never defeat Assad on their own.
Oh that's the French's claim to fame they came to help out.....almost 250 years ago. So how long did you think that could be accounted for. Payback came with WWII. The French still have a Country they can call their own.
What have they done for us lately...
except get the West all off into Conflicts since they are unable to handle any business on their own,
Other than cause others to use up their supplies and their Military hardware.
While always running into the UN to stir some more **** up.
It's real simple Pete.....if the French think they should go and punish someone. How about they get off their Damn ass and go do it on their own. Not rely on others to bail them out.
Wtf are you babbling about? The French recognized the Syria opposition, not AQ, the MB or Al Nusra. Talk about irrational hate towards the French gezz. Grow up, you would not have a nation if it was not for the French.
They are far from only those groups and you know it.
Fine so you are even with them..
Why should they do anything for you.. why should ANYONE do anything for you?
what conflicts?
wtf are you babbling about? Mali again? You do know that it was a matter of hours before a total victory for the AL Q groups?
Give us examples.. you state "always"... so there must be more than one..
The French think they should punish someone? It is the British and Americans that have been leading the charge.
This about Iraq.. your hatred.. they refused to follow you and you are still pissed... especially since they were right the whole time about the WMD.
How can you say that with a straight face?!?! The Syrian opposition IS AQ, MB and Al Nusra.
Those groups make up the Majority of the Opposition.....are you trying to deny this?

France Presses for New UN Resolution on Syria
France is pushing to renegotiate a United Nations resolution on ending the violence in Syria after the measure was rejected by Russia and China earlier this month. The initiative comes ahead of a non-binding vote by the U.N. General Assembly on the Syrian crisis.
That measure is expected to accuse Syria of rights violations and urge the government to stop its deadly crackdown on the 11-month opposition uprising against President Assad......snip~

France says 'ready to punish' Syria regime....
French President Francois Hollande upped the ante on Syria Tuesday, pledging to "punish" the regime over suspected chemical attacks and boost military support for the opposition.
"France is ready to punish those who took the vile decision to gas innocent people," he said in a televised speech, pointing the finger of blame at President Bashar al-Assad's regime.....snip~

What Happened here Pete.....did you think it wa all hidden? Cmon now......you know the French's intel isn't that good at all.
That enough for ya Pete.....do you think it is high time that France quit trying to get off into things they cannot handle on their own? These are Right off the Top. Doesn't include any others they have filed with the UN.
Here is one....maybe we should Kick France out of the Security Council. Since truthfully.....everyone else is holding them up so they can be relevant in this world Today!
Oh Wiki! Now that's an authority.
A majority? Yes. There are up to 40 member organisations of the Syrian opposition.
God your hatred knows no bounds. First off most of those resolutions were in relation to UN peacekeeping or interventions that were already going on.
Secondly yes France has been at the forefront of asking for action, I have never denied this, and it is no wonder considering Syria is a former colony. But so what? Are you pissed that it is not the US leading the charge from the start? That Obama is weak? That people dont trust the US because Iraq? Deal with it.
Its a list, nothing more. Are you seriously saying that the list is lying? That the Coalition of Secular and Democratic Syrians is not part of the opposition? That the Syrin Democratic Peoples Party is not? Or any of the other names on the lists?
I'm saying that the original peaceful protests in Syria nearly three years ago were hijacked. Western interests have wanted regime change for years and they have been running CIA training camps in Jordan and elsewhere, training and arming the jihadists that have been committing crimes against civilians across the country.
So there was a legitimate secular uprising but the American preference was a Jihadi one which they've been training for years to steal it from the secularists?
No.....I am not pist because the US isn't leading. I am pist because the US didn't tell France to STFU and Deal with any Conflict themselves. Without US assistance. Without using our **** and without getting our people killed for the adventures.
Who said anything about Americans being put in harms way? You're just pissed because X-Box games might cost an extra dollar?
Assad has cruise missiles. They are in range.
hahaha
Ok, just for fun, let's see your source.
We have stealth planes. Spare me the "air defense".
You claimed they have cruise missiles capable of taking out ships. Got any evidence besides a NYT article?
S-300s might bother Israel, but not the US. They can't stop stealth and they can't stop cruise missiles.
Nothing like playing like Obama and Hoping for the best.....little brutha.
