It's safe to say lately Archbishop Martin Modeus has been a very worried Primate. In the estimation of this esteemed Primate Sweden is woefully unprepared to handle that Horseman of the Apocalypse Putin, who will bring death and destruction. Graves have not been dug! How can Swedes have been negligent on this matter of paramount importance? So, graves have to be dug. Immediately. By the tens. By the hundreds. By the thousands. By the tens of thousands. By the hundreds of thousands.

Oh dear! Before graves come requiem masses. Are there enough priests in Sweden to handle hundreds of thousands of Swedes dead from shock in short order? Too late to recruit and train priests. A recording of a requiem mass will replace actual priests.

Clearly the Primate of Sweden is mentally unbalanced and fraught with dangerous hallucinations. He should be confined to a mental asylum.

But what if that mad Primate is right? Are we looking half a million Swedes dying from shock?

Why from shock and not bullets? The Russian Federation has ditched the standard issue AK 74 assault rifle. The Primate of Moscow deemed then two dangerous and inhumane. So Putin replaced the Kalashnikov rifles with shovels. These are Putin's new shovel soldiers.

I am a Swede not a Finn

This confused me as well and when I tried to look up the article in the tweet I hit a pay wall.

But I think this is more about something else: We used to have extensive storages, a well thought of plan with bunkers al over for every Swede to be safe in case of crisis (could be war, could be a nuclearplant accident, could be a new pandemic(=medicine and equipment needed), That is before 1990. At that time, together with the disarmament of the military, we threw it al away and no shelters has been maintained. Then first the pandemic and then the crisis with Russia has made us regret it and al kind of plans are being made.


The archbishop is part of the Swedish society and the head of a big instituion so I guess the discussions makes him look at his own organisation.

Not only it's NOT a lie, there's more to it: the Ukrainians knew perfectly well that Russia would attack them for pursuing NATO and setting up bases for the murderer, but they were WILLING to fight such a war!

I mean the Church of Sweden now celebrated clearly unbiblical practices like women preachers and homosexuality, so I don’t know why they even think Christian burial is necessary.

I think it’s more likely any individual Russian is a true Christian then any individual Swede any way

Well it’s not just that, the entire Ukranian national identity is constructed around not being a Russian. Years ago I wanted to visit Ukraine because some of my family lived there until the communist revolution, so I went to learn some ukranian. And at the time nearly all basic words were identical to Russian, Da, Nyet, Privet, etc

Now they invented new words out of whole cloth and they have to keep inventing new words because the old one sounds too Russian. This is why the Ukranian state wants American protection, because certain far nationalist movements in Ukraine see the eternal Russian as a menace to be eradicated and they wanted to cleanse all Russian minorities from Ukraine and they couldn’t do this without NATO.

Russia simply called their bluff before they were ready.
