NEW YORK — Smartphones and digital technology are supposed to make our lives easier, but for young adults, it seems that things may only be getting tougher — and for a slew of reasons. According to one recent survey, about 3 out of 5 millennials (58%) feel life is more stressful right now than ever before.
In fact, the survey of 2,000 American millennials, commissioned by CBD oil company Endoca, reveals that one-third of millennials believe their lives are more stressful than the average person’s life.
At this point I am going to suggest reading the article linked below, I know many do not care to read linked articles, but think of it as your Monday funnies
In that article they post the top 20 stressful scenarios reported by Millennials:
1. Losing wallet/credit card
2. Arguing with partner
3. Commute/traffic delays
4. Losing phone
5. Arriving late to work
6. Slow WiFi
7. Phone battery dying
8. Forgetting passwords
9. Credit card fraud
10. Forgetting phone charger
11. Losing/misplacing keys
12. Paying bills
13. Job interviews
14. Phone screen breaking
15. Credit card bills
16. Check engine light coming on
17. School loan payments
18. Job security
19. Choosing what to wear
20. Washing dishes
Too bad they did not live through the stress free era of my parents and WWII, or my post war baby era of the nation putting itself back together as a nation at peace again. Short lived I know, but hey, we did not have the horrible stress the poor millennials have to suffer through today.

What a bunch of ******s.
When I was 18 years old, I was worrying about how to keep from getting shot by the Viet Cong. Now THAT'S stress!
Ha, stupid Millennials, complaining about their jobs, bills, and finances.
What's that like?At this point I am going to suggest reading the article linked below, I know many do not care to read linked articles, but think of it as your Monday funnies

Plenty of Millennials have been through War, get your ageist BS out of here. This Study is largely worthless, but the economic prospects for my generation are not so good. Perhaps you should seek to understand and help younger than you, rather than spit on them with your disdain.
I'm sure this tiny sample size is representative.I doubt a Millennial who has been through war is going to get stressed out over having to wash the freaking dishes.
LOL!!
Dismal job outlook coupled with impending climate disaster is cause for concern. Not sure if losing phones and long lines at Starbucks are worthy. Millenials have serious problems ahead of them, and the do nothing Republicans in charge are counting on leaving the planet before they are forced to do anything meaningful. Conservatism can't or won't address millenial problems, which is why AOC is such a breath of fresh air.

the biggest source of stress that i've seen among millennials is student debt. my generation had issues with that, too, but it seems to be worse for the kids now. it's very dumb to put a paywall in front of higher education. it will lead to an even more uneducated population, and that's not good.
My daughter got through it with flying colors.
Student debt was there long before the Millennials were puking their strained peas in the in high chairs.
Did you miss the part where the study was commissioned by a company that sells products (CBD) that they claim reduces stress? At this point I am going to suggest reading the article linked below...
My wife grew up in a remote village in Cambodia with no running water or electricity. Her parents didn't buy her a pair of shoes until she turned 5 years old...when her parents made her get a job selling fruit. She thinks most Americans of all ages are a bunch of whiny little bitches when it comes to what we consider "hardships". But at least her family was able to grow food. There are likely people who grew up in parts of Africa with hardly any food that would consider my wife's childhood a blessed one.
It's all relative.
Did not even make the top ten.
12. Paying bills

NO
Did you know that the company which conducted the "study" (OnePoll) openly touts using its results for PR purposes?
Care to guess what the CBD hawkers said about their own study? “Stress may be inevitable, but it doesn’t have to be incurable. Studies have shown that getting enough rest and using CBD products are both excellent natural methods to reducing stress and improving our ability to deal with it.” Hmmmmmmm
Did you fail to read what it's saying? 1/3 of Millennials think that their life is more stressful than the average person. Not "the most stressful ever," not "our lives are worse than people who get shot at daily," just "my life is stressful"?
NO
Did you notice that they didn't ask any other generations about... anything at all? Do you really think that Baby Boomers or GenZ would provide significantly different answers?
NO - AND POLLS ON ICE CREAM DO NOT ASK PIZZA VENDORS EITHER
Did you notice that they didn't give a link to the actual study? I can't even find the damned thing. Neither OnePoll or Endoca have accessible links to it on their sites.
NO
You do know that Millennials are now aged 23 to 38? They're not teenagers. Millennials have jobs, they have debts, many have families, some have kids, some have mortgages, some have gone bankrupt, some have gotten divorced...
DID YOU NOTICE NO ONE CLAIMED THEY WERE TEENAGERS ONLY
In other words: This is PR clickbait which is simply designed to feed the typical, absurd, unsupportable stereotypes about generations.
Good point. It's not like kids these days have to worry about getting shot, at say, their schools.
I hate people who say that, often older people to shut down any argument about an issue affecting mainly younger people, or to justify some unsafe or unacceptable practice from their culture or past. It is not constructive in any way.
