Merry Christmas!! Thank you President Trump for the pro private sector policies and our 401k's but hopefully for Christmas that you will receive a gag for the mouth, stop talking for that is what motivates the left and gives them the opportunity to divert from the results being generated including the 6.5 million jobs created since January 2017, more than the number of jobs created from January-April 2008 and January 2017(6 million jobs)

Only 52% of US households hold stocks in 401K's or otherwise. It would be dishonest to claim this affects those who do not own stocks. Those who do and trade in volume could care less about everyone but themselves. Including the long term health of the companies they are trading.

God Bless our wonderful President for everything he has done for us and bless those poor little pig liberals who despise Trump and all his supporters.

The prospects for 2020 are looking much better lately. Especially for those who love our country.

You have been indoctrinated well and always buy rhetoric and ignore results. The current economic results are benefiting most Americans and probably you but you cannot celebrate success because it is Trump. Rather sad to see people like you promoting failure and hoping for the worst to happen. that is today's Democratic Party and in Nov. 2020 you will see the outcome of your attitude and efforts total and complete defeat

You simply cannot celebrate success because of Trump but the Trump economy now has a 54% approval rating and record high African American support. Stop buying what you are told and stop the 24/7 negativity. Trump's economy is benefiting you and your family

What you want to ignore is the fact that the record stock market has led to record consumer spending and that increases state and local revenue to assist people in need. There is a state and local gov't that relies on consumer spending for their tax revenue and a strong stock market impacts that state and local revenue by boosting all the components of GDP

He hasn't been removed from office.

With constant reminders how intellectually vacant so many on the left are, I can't figure out how they manage to feed themselves.....

The market is not negatively effected by Trump's impeachment showing how little influence he has on it. It does tend to dive when he acts erratically, suggesting that his removal from office would signal future stability, which markets crave.

How do you explain the 54% approval rating Trump has on the economy and the Record DOW? You think any of the Democrats would have generated the results we have seen in the last 3 years? To ignore the business reaction to Trump's economic policies just shows partisanship and total ignorance of our private sector economy.

What's even more important than the antics of stock market gamblers is the actions of US consumers. They are the REAL economy.

Isn't it amazing how the left simply cannot celebrate success? Waiting for the proof that any of the Democratic Candidates would have generated similar results. Liberals love to tout trends yet ignore actual dollars in those trends totally ignoring that the last three years of Obama the dollar GDP growth trends were down. Trump has reversed that and now has 2 years of trillion dollar GDP growth. That along with the incredible stock market boosted by consumer spending has destroyed the liberal myth of an impending recession

It does effect them, they might get laid off if the market dives too much.

So Christmas Week began with a bang in the DOW and ended the week with another DOW record. Notice how the left has avoided this thread like the plague?

You really think the markets only effect those who own stock? Did CNN tell you that?

The trading of stock in public companies is an important part of the U.S. economy. Stocks are a type of security that represent ownership interest in a company. Stock trading allows businesses to raise capital to pay off debt, launch new products and expand operations. Stock prices influence consumer and business confidence, which in turn affect the overall economy. Rising stock markets create a sense of confidence about the direction of the economy. As prices continue to rise, more investors come into the market, which builds on the momentum.

People feel more confident and they spend more on big-ticket items, such as homes and cars. Businesses are likely to make capital investments when they feel that these investments will lead to rising market values. Management has more operational flexibility if sustained stock price increases lead to increased consumer spending. Merger and acquisition activity tends to increase during bull markets because companies can use stock as currency. Initial public offerings increase as new companies take advantage of market optimism to raise capital.

Wages usually go up, larger bonuses are paid, more people get hired, more jobs are created, and more people will open up and develop new businesses.

Thank you President Obama

Yes, Thank you Obama for being the utter failure you were so Trump could be elected and remove your all of your job killng ridiculous regulations and get our economy, stock market, and unemployment to historical records.

Longest recovery on record. Let's hope that the orange fool doesn't destroy it with his idiocy.

LOL, yep recovery means something different to a liberal than a Conservative, explain why the Obama recovery was called the "worst recovery in history?"

Yes, so what? Obama lost the house in 2010-2012-2014-2016 and the Senate in 2014-2016 and got 4 million fewer votes in 2012 than 2008, the only President in history that got fewer re-election votes than the original. Your loyalty to Obama defines you as a liberal not an independent as independents do research and verify what they are being told before creating an opinion

It's just as amazing as when obama was president. The dow finally bottomed out at about 6500 after W left office. What also bottomed out was the loss of several hundred thousand jobs a month when obama became president. The dow also recovered to around 12000 after his first term and yet obama was the worst president ever according to republicans.

Tell me again about celebrating success. Three years into their presidencies both clinton and obama had better results and yet trump tells everyone his is the best. Just another lie the right chooses to believe or are too ignorant to find out.

Obama inherited the Bush economic collapse and turned it around. We're lucky that we had a president back then who hadn't huffed enough orange spray paint to turn his brain into a lump of jello.
