Yes he said some tariffs would be implemented, but nowhere near to this extent

Many Americans will, and that would be fine with me if only MAGATS were hungry-but they took down us normal people with them. What did everyone think was going to happen when they put an incompetent buffoon who already bankrupted six companies into the office of president?
I honestly think that this will end well. This is the beginning of the end of the MAGA movement. Prices will skyrocket due to inflation and people vote with their wallets in mind. I think that soon the sane division of republicans (and yes, there are some) will start to revolt and the republican party will implode then get rebuilt into something more reasonable. The stock market will come back and sanity will return.
My worst fear is that other countries will capitulate and give the felon what he wants: token concessions so he can claim a *win*. Lets hope that they all stonewall him and just double down as China has already done today.

Interest rate drops are great if you want to take out a loan, aren't they. Problem is, no one is going be taking out loans anytime soon. What will happen, predictably, is that inflation will soar and YOU, my MAGAT "friends", will be paying much higher prices for almost everything very very soon.

Interest rates drops happen in recessions, which we are headed for..... interest rates increases in inflation, which we are also head for. The combination is called 'stagflation'. There will be dual pressures on interest rates, so which way will they go?

The last time we had stagflation, interest rates floated by the Fed to 20% before the back of stagflation was broken. So, if history is the guide, interest rates are also going way up. We are head for a self-induced economic mess, which was forecast in the summer and the fall of 2024, but ignorant Trump voters could not handle the truth.

Let's face it, Fox News can't tell the truth because their viewers can't handle the truth, as evidenced by the $787M they were willing to pay out to keep their viewer base from the truth (so they could keep their viewer base). Further evidence, the Fox News election analyst that lost his job for declaring Arizona in Biden's column in 2020.
