Actually, it is still selling quite well.
As PT Barnum said, there is a sucker born every minute.

So I have to purchase the book on Amazon to understand your arguments?
Yes, the first edition went fast. That's why printers make a 2nd printing, 3rd... 4th... etc...Why bother?
It was gone in one flush.
You are the perfect example. As PT Barnum said, there is a sucker born every minute.
Most people have to research any argument.
You have a local library, right?
As PT Barnum said, there is a sucker born every minute.
Michael E. Mann
[h=1]Uh, oh, Mann’s MBH98 ‘hockeystick’ emails ruled fair game by judge[/h] From the “all your emails belong to us” department comes this ruling that I’m sure Mikey Mann and company will go ballistic over. From the Arizona Daily Sun: PHOENIX — An organization that is questioning the research behind climate change will get another chance to demand to see the emails of two University of Arizona…
Greetings, Jack. :2wave:
I've always had a belief that scientists must have an open mind about where their research might lead. IMO, that thinking should apply to climate change science as well as other fields of science such as medicine, which also includes the pharmaceutical industry, which has given us vaccines and other cures to eliminate many diseases that plague both humans and other animal and plant life, that were an outstanding success worldwide!
Unfortunately, climate change science seems to have become politicized by a few who stand to become very wealthy and more powerful, and that has influenced, by way of grants and other financial rewards, researchers to obtain results desired by the "money providers."
Oddly, climate change theory will mean we will be required to pay for the bulk of the costs to the UN through increased taxes, because once upon a time we were the only country on the planet that could manufacture the things the rest of the world wanted?!! :bs: If so, it's China and the Far East that holds that spot now, and we have lost millions of jobs as a result, so when will they be required to also pay for the cost of climate change, if it is indeed a looming catastrophe that someday may affect everyone on this planet? Fair is fair!

Happy Sunday, Polgara.:2wave:
You are on point.
So who do I complain to, or are my posts on here, expressing frustration, sufficient to label me a self-identified alarmist? :lamo:
I guess when you don't have scientific facts to support your cause, you make like Trump and sue in court.
Unfortunately, the science doesn't rely on single authors, and the paper in aurstion has been overwhelmingly confirmed snd expanded by subsequent work.
I suppose you will never stop repeating that falsehood. If MM's position were so sound then I doubt he would have been trying (as he has, desperately) to delay and/or avoid trial. He brought this on himself, and now he regrets it.
It's basic scientific understanding.
Talk to a paleoclimate expert sometime.
But that's the science, which is not the law.
As for the lawsuit, I find it bizarre that you somehow twist it to pretend that the guy who is suing is somehow the person who is 'desperately' trying to avoid a trial. If he desperately wants to avoid trial, he just stops paying his lawyer...
Then he would be abandoning a suit that he himself brought, an excruciatingly embarrassing climb down. Steyn's aggressive defense caught him by surprise. In any case, Steyn's side has repeatedly asked to begin the trial, while MM's side has repeatedly asked for delay.

Yes, Steyn says that a lot.
Hilarious explanation though. True BK material.

It is difficult to overstate the significance or impact of Mann's Hockey Stick (Mann ... and it looked like I might have stumbled across a really good modern example… ... Mann's notorious statistical exercise was not sufficient to build the entire ... Dr. Mann claims that his hockey stick has been replicated by others and this is true.
There is nothing in that post that comes from Steyn. It's simply court records. For whatever reason, MM doesn't want a trial and Steyn does.
Except Steyn is the defendant and Mann is the one dragging him to court.
But I guess basic logic is once again upended in denier circles.
Oh look.
An oil guy who doesn't like his stock option threatened.
I wonder what his viewpoint is??
And that is what makes the current circumstance so telling. It is Steyn who has been pressing for trial, and Mann who has been trying to avoid it.
