[h=1]State Dept inspector general requests 'urgent' Ukraine briefing on Capitol Hill[/h]
The State Department’s inspector general is expected to give an "urgent" briefing to staffers from several House and Senate committees on Wednesday afternoon about documents obtained from the department’s Office of the Legal Adviser related to the State Department and Ukraine, sources familiar with the planned briefing told ABC News.
Details of the briefing, requested by Steve Linick, the inspector general at State, remain unknown. Linick is expected to meet with congressional staff in a secure location on Capitol Hill.

It's anyone's guess what this is all about, but it can't be good for someone

Probably delivering a bucket of sand.

A representative who will be in that meeting tomorrow suspects its relevant to the Trump/Ukraine corruption scandal. I've never seen government move this fast, its quite impressive. He said it was urgent and went straight to congress rather than the White House.

Probably gonna tell them they can't interfere in a criminal investigation by the Executive branch. :)

Or that the State Dept needs to comply with the House impeachment inquiry subpoena.

Then he would have contacted the State Department and not the aids for Elijah Cummings and pencil-neck Schiff.

There are rumors that Pompeo inquired to the IG as to whether he could legally retaliate against state department staff that testify to Congress.

If that's true, he ought to join Trump on the impeachment list.

Pompeo is about to soon find out that everything Trump touches dies. Such as his political career. He's in trouble.

Pompeo, Barr and Trump may all end up doing prison time.

Calling Adam Schiff 'pencil neck' as tagged by Trump, only shows the lack of morality and disrespect for Congress and the Constitutional rule of law. You can call him 'pencil neck' all you want to, but you aren't going to change the fact that he's on the side of this democracy. Trump is a racketeer, and even worse, he's a traitor to his oath of office.

Okay, I'll change pencil-neck to POS. Better?

Doubt it.

But it's clear there is going to be an impeachment.

Richard Nixon's Attorney General John Mitchell did prison time for far, far less.

John N. Mitchell, Attorney General of the United States who resigned to become Director of Committee to Re-elect the President, convicted of perjury about his involvement in the Watergate break-in. Served 19 months of a one- to four-year sentence.

Here’s my guess: Trump is done.

As I said, you can do whatever makes you feel better, but it doesn't change the fact it's a reflection on you, not them.

Different time, different Republican party.

Yes the strength of character and patriotism of our civil servants in our Govt. is the silver lining of this Trump era. Trump attempted to remove all the IG's but was thwarted by Congress.

Trump keeps asking Congress to test his gangster.

The guy reminds me of Tekashi69.

Sent from the Matrioshka in the WH Christmas tree.

More likely, he's delivering documents that he feared Pompeo would destroy (deep-six in Watergate talk.)

Oh, what criminal investigation are you referring to?

Different time, different Republican party.

The law hasn't changed that significantly since Watergate as far as high crimes and misdemeanors of a sitting president.
