Republican committee woman Glenda Bailey has become one of the loudest voices against Haitian migration, publicly accusing the community of having diseases, carrying out voodoo rites and being involved in gangs.

She has also spoken at length about "great replacement theory," the baseless belief that there is a movement to replace white populations in current white-majority countries. "Some of the Haitians are gang members," she told NPR. "I've seen them. They have become the occupiers. What they've done is they've replaced the population in Springfield, Ohio.""

It is IMPOSSIBLE to tell Republicans from Nazis at this point.
We can argue about which "model year" later but the fact is, if they continue along the current MAGA trajectory the natural end point is a "Final Solution".

Removing people here illegally is not the same as interning citizens and doing away with their civil rights. The opinion article you reference is just more of the same language making the leap to Nazis and other bygone regimes. And even if Trump were elected, this is not going to happen. If it were, something would have been done a long time ago. Both parties have shown no will to control the border or to deport en masse. As far as Japanese reparations, see the Civil Liberties Act of 1988.

He can state whatever he likes, but a President cannot change the Constitution. Now one can issue an EO that violates something within like Biden's vaccine mandate which the Courts will rectify in accordance with the Constitution. The amendment process is concrete and never rests upon one person.
