I was responding to what you directly wrote and attempting to educate you on the fine art of rhetoric, no bs involved other than what you attempted to read into it!. Thought you scored perfectly in comprehension?

I'll recommend a book you can find at your local library that deals with unhealthy fears called No Fear No Death, by the venerable Thich Naht Han. Not all of us go through life filled with imaginary/hypothetical fears my friend.
 
Look at how much bullshit you have to right to try to get around the fact someone literally wrote he doesn’t have fear because he carries a revolver.

yeah instead of the civil authorities creating reasonable public order we should just tell every man woman and child to be strapped at all times. Those little kids that get killed by pit bulls every year should’ve just been walking around with loaded revolvers

Little kids getting killed by dogs are almost always the fault of the parents. You don't bring a dog, you know nothing about, home if you have small children.

Just out of curiosity though, how many more threads are you going to create about your unhealthy fear of pit Bulls? This seems to be a semi annual tradition for you.

Yeah but the people who own dangerous pit bulls are in full denial, they don’t want to know anything about this dog because if they did they wouldn’t own one unless they were an underground dog fighter

Until little kids stop being murdered by these dangerous animals and people like you say “well just carry loaded guns everywhere and if you don’t accept that it’s because you’re the fearful paranoid one”

You cannot raise a pit bull to be a Labrador. They are two completely different breeds. However, you can crossbreed a pit bull and a Labrador. Neither are considered "large" dogs. Pit bulls and Labradors are medium-sized dogs because they both weigh less than 100 pounds on average. Large breed dogs exceed 100 pounds and can weigh as much as 250 pounds.

While I agree with spaying, I do not agree with neutering. Studies have shown than neutered dogs have a 25% shorter life-span than litter mates who have not been neutered. When you are talking large breed dogs you are talking about life-spans in the 10 to 12 year range. So a 25% reduction in life-span can mean 3 to 4 years of their life lost.

An unneutered dog does have a tendency to run away or escape in search of a mate, so they require extra vigilance on the part of the owner. They also have a tendency to mark everything in sight with their urine, including your furniture. So that is another issue the owner must deal with regarding dogs that have not been neutered. However, a dog (regardless of its size) running loose does not necessarily pose any dangers. It depends on the dog.

My Boerboel (South African Mastiff) was the smallest, but the most muscular of all the mastiff breeds at only 135 pounds. They were originally bred to protect farmers and their families in South Africa from lions and other predators.


He was extremely protective. Anytime he perceived a threat he would move in front of me and stop. Forcing me to stop. Unlike my Alaskan Husky, he never barked at the wildlife and he considered anything bigger than him to be a threat. He also truly enjoyed the company of people, including complete strangers and children.

Based on his demeanor, he was far more trustworthy around people than my much smaller Alaskan Husky. She had a very nasty disposition towards strangers and would certainly try to bite them if not restrained.

Yes you generally can. When raised well they are similar.
Yes they are only medium sized dogs, but Mastiffs, Caucasian Mountain dogs and others are at the extreme end of the suburban bow bow spectrum.

No, you cannot. They do not have the same capabilities. Labradors are working bird dogs, with a propensity to retrieve. Pit bulls are not. If you cross breed them, then you can combine the traits of both dogs, but you cannot train a pit bull to be a completely different breed. It is not possible.

I coming at it from the perspective of breed traits. These are the traits every Labrador has and traits that no pit bull has. You cannot train traits. The animal is either born with it, or they are not. Traits are inherent to the animal.

Both breeds love water, are active, and love to play. Again, this is from the perspective of where most dogs are, the suburbs. Both are protective and dorky, but I'd put pits as smarter. both will bean your face with their tail and steal the chicken if not watched.
 
Labradors were bred to be water dogs. They actually have webbed toes. Pit Bulls do not. Most dogs like water, are active, and love to play. That does not describe a particular breed.

Working dogs are bred specifically for a particular task. According to the American Kennel Club there are 31 different breeds of dog that are classified as "working dogs."

You will note that the American Pit Bull Terrier is not included in that list. In fact, the American Kennel Club does not even recognize the American Pit Bull Terrier as a breed of dog. However, the American Dog Breeders Association does, and does not include them in the working breeds of dog either.

Labradors are more likely to kill your chickens than a pit bull. Pit bulls have been used by farmers and ranchers to protect livestock and collect errant cattle and hogs, also, and this is the biggest difference between the two breeds - Pit bulls are not bird dogs. That doesn't mean pit bulls won't eat a chicken if given the opportunity, it means that they are far less likely to eat a chicken when compared to a Labrador or any other bird dog.

You cannot train traits. Traits are inherent to the breed of dog.
