Funny, I have a different view of when I was in. My guess is that they didn't practice for this very hard, because maybe they thought someone would have the good sense to call it off.

Yes, I think a lot of soldiers didn't feel they were being honored. The way Trump talks about them being "suckers" and "chumps" probably doesn't do much for morale.
