Donald Trump threw a military parade in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary on Saturday, June 14 (a date that happens to be the president’s birthday) to the tune of $25 to $45 million. But unfortunately for Trump, photos and videos from the big day show sparse attendance and a lack of organization from top to bottom.

You see a lot more people around the Washington Monument on an average Saturday in June than you did in that picture.

The No Kings rallies were far more successful. Power to the people!

Trump Lackey Torn Apart for Wild Claim of Giant Parade Crowd

President Donald Trump’s director of communications has prompted ridicule with spurious claims over the size of the crowd at a Washington, D.C. military parade.

“Amazing. Despite the threat of rain, over 250,000 patriots showed up to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the @USArmy,” Steven Cheung posted to X on Saturday night. “God Bless the USA!”

MSNBC was quick to pour water on the claim.
“That’s just not accurate, that’s not even close to accurate,” reporter Vaughn Hillyard, who was present at the event, told hosts of MSNBC’s The Weekend on Sunday.

“Just the eye of any individual who is here on the ground or looking at images or video knows that there were not 250,000 people, but that can be the White House’s position here,” he added.

Users on X eviscerated Cheung in the comments section and in reposts of his original claim. Many of them compared him to former Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who was called out in 2017 for grossly inflating the number of people who’d attended the president’s first inauguration.

Yup, another Sean Spicer moment 8 years later……

Yup.

I'm sad for the military. There was a wonderful interactive family oriented display over on the Mall. It was the display that was originally planned for DC for the 250th. It was well attended I heard but we heard not much about it. Sad

You have to wonder about the lack of Trump cult members bragging about the parade today……

Cheung is a mindless Trump cheerleader. Makes Leavitt look positively objective.

Agreed. The Army deserved better than to play fluffer for Donald's wee ego.

Well, on the bright side he did get his Trump's Tank Extravaganza though the city will have to repair streets because tanks damage them. Just having soldiers marching might have been better and cheaper.

I agree. Taco just had to shit all over this thing and make Americans just not want to go.

Nice going.

America hates this man. Did he really win the election?? Crazy.

Ooooooh.

I will sleep so well tonight knowing Donnie had a bad day.

I know that's kind of childish but he really is a total prick.

Wasn't rain predicted for the time of the parade? Could it be some folks stayed home instead of possibly sitting in the rain? Democrats complaining about the parade's cost and Democrats hating on the U.S. Army, simply amazing. But you are ok with trashing $182 Billion a year on taking care of illegal aliens. That's the democrats for ya.

Been to many a gay pride parade/festival with more people.

Gay pride or LGBTQCTIOXLCTYVH parades are great fun!

In a suburb of Vancouver called New Westminster there are hills that most able bodied men can't climb, sidewalks never used. The local gay pride people take pride in hiking the main street UPHILL in HIGH HEELS.....!

You really have to respect that and it's the best 'parade' going.

wee something
I for one feel so bad for @Integrityrespec. He was so excited by Donald's birthday parade so to see it all fall apart has got to be agonizing. And worse, the only deflections he was trained on were "but Biden" and "but Obama" so he can't even defend Donald's honor by humiliating the leftist filth. These are rough days for our local MAGA.
