Which is why fixing this problem at the state level is essential. Getting any national bill through congress has little chance of success.

If a rapist decides he wants to rape my daughter or your daughter in a Southern state because she's good looking or rich or whatever then he's picking the mom.

Or, you know, because of you republicans if somebody's daughter gets raped in a Red State she's required to carry to term. So the rapists can now go mama shopping.

Hell, women could do the same thing in Red States (although this one probably already happens). Just tell the boyfriend she's on the pill, don't take it, get pregnant and the "conversation" doesn't even get to take place now because Red States make her carry to term. The guy doesn't even get to discuss it since your politicians have already made the decision for the boyfriend/girlfriend.

You seem more interested in turning this into a political issue. FYI most Republicans support abortion at least in rape, incest, danger to women, and more.

Here, let me help bring you up to date on rapes in just ONE red state.



"In 2020 Texas had an estimated total 13,509 rape offenses — more than any other state, including California's 13,449 estimated total offenses."



Let's do a little bit of that math thing...

13,509 ÷ 365 = 37 rapes per day



Now...

"Eight out of 10 cases of rape are committed by someone known to the victim, according to Department of Justice data shared by the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network, or RAINN, an anti-sexual violence organization. Among child and teen victims, that rate is even higher at 93%."



So, the rapists can mama shop AND the victims can't get an abortion as in years past.



Let's just hope it's not my daughters and not your daughters/granddaughters (if you have any).
