Scientists at Harvard (David Keith) have decided that global warming is an emergency and something has to be done to slow it down. They proposed spraying particles into the atmosphere that would reflect some sunlight, simulating the effect of a volcano. And they announced recently they would begin experimenting.
Conspiracy theory websites have been talking about chemtrails for years. These are, supposedly, particles sprayed by jet planes. The purpose is to slow global warming, control weather, population control, anything evil you can imagine.
After I heard about chemtrails, in 2013, I started observing the sky. And I have often seen them covering the sky, looking as if they were intended to block the sun. I have also seen a blackish haze covering the sky when there are no clouds.
Now, of course, anyone who says they believe in chemtrails is immediately labeled a nutty conspiracy theorist and ignored.
I do think the chemtrail conspiracy theories are nuts. But I also know that spraying particles is a serious proposal, which they are now experimenting with. And I also know that I have been observing chemtrails for 6 years.
There are various ideas and theories about what kind of particles to use. Some are more scary than others.
The concept is ludicrous as the scale of said "Particles" would be an impossibility and the Idea of Chem Trails is like pouring bottled water on the beach causing flooding.

It didn't take much CFC to rip a big hole in the ozone. A hole which, as it moved towards the equator, split into two thus creating new chaos dynamics.
We needn't presume a saturation of the atmosphere, merely a thin layer near the top.
Of course chem trails are absurd. It's hilarious that people observe them.
Why is it hilarious that people are observing something that scientists are finally admitting they intend to do?
Observing chemtrails is akin to observing one's bellybutton. Hilarious.
And you've been doing it for 6 years. ****ing hysterical.
Then why are scientists at Harvard proposing it?
I have no idea

there was no hole in the ozone. if there was an actual hole in the ozone the entire area would be slagged with massive
UV radiation. killing pretty much everything that it reached.
There are places where ozone was depleted but it wasn't a hole. if there was a hole over the artic we wouldn't have an artic.
I think an argument could be made that this would be VERY dangerous.
While there is almost no historical data showing a warming tipping point, there is plenty
showing a cooling tipping point.

For the last 800,000 years our climate has moved back and forth between long glacial periods and short inter glacial periods.
We are currently in an inter glacial period, with limited upward possibility, but cooling has quite a bit of possibility.
We really do not want to dance on the side of the cooling cliff!
Whatever possible harm could come from warming, would pale in comparison to a 6 C temperature fall.
Stop tilting at windmills. Everyone knows it was not an absolute, yet the term is used because it represents a lack of cover.
No words have meanings
If you want to call it the Ozone Screen (or something else), feel free. But stop acting like you're talking to fourth graders. I've a masters concerning the subject and I call it an Ozone Hole because that's the common terminology and acceptable metaphor to everyone except those being pedantic to appear erudite.
So you said it was ludicrous without having any knowledge of the subject.
No it is a horribly bad word that has nothing to do with reality. it is used in eco nut territory to drum up appeal to emotion arguments on the environment.
ozone depleted is a much better term to use than ozone hole.
When you constantly use terms that are not true even when pointed out that they are not the correct terms to use then yes i will treat people like 4th graders because
that is how they are behaving. stamping their feet shouting it's an ozone hole.
adults realize that the term they are using is not correct and educate themselves on the use of proper terms and use those terms instead.
that is the sign of someone who is interested in discussion.
these people have no friggen clue what they are messing with. that is the bigger issue. the road to destruction is paved
with good consequences.
just the loss of food growing seasons would hurt and kill millions of people if we switched too cold.
i just read another article that another storm is basting the east coast.
dropping tons of snow and cold. scientist predicted that we would be flipping soon to a cold snap and that the sun would
go into a deep sleep. they predicted about a 10 year cool down coming. i think that is what we are gearing up for.

geo engineering isn't knew.
a few years ago someone developed a foam substance they wanted to dump into hurricanes to either kill them or reduce them.
the morons don't realize what they are tampering with and could set off a global ecological crisis doing that crap.
sorry hurricanes are needed and exist for a reason.

That YOU are clearly incapable of complex thought or honest discussion does not define my position but certainly helps to explain yours. The amount of particulates required to impact solar effect on our atmosphere makes any global effect unobtainable and that does not even take air current or jet stream circulation into account. Research Large volcanic effects to get a minimal idea of what I refer to.
