Blaine Washington is a ghost town, some people have started to walk away from the homes they've been buying as they see no future.

As a Canadian who regularly visited the US, I can attest that travel is off considerably, and shops etc. in Blaine AND Bellingham have been shuttered.

I know too this is NOT a temporary thing. For a lot of Canadians its the final straw.

As soon as we could we got the hell out and home.

Point Roberts, Wa, is an hour drive from my residence.

I used to got there and visit an aging friend, walk the beach, collect some agates and share war stories about how much we drank and used drugs.

I stopped going there when Trump was elected the first time. I have found a better cheese that I like (English Cheddar) to replace what I used to buy in the US. My friend has moved back to Canada because of Trump.

We also used to take strolls along the 49th parallel which would wonder back and forth across 'the line' and no one noticed.
