Who here honestly believes he wouldn't sell them to *anyone* for the right price?
Of course he would. The guy is a crook. Always has been, always will be, which everyone knows. Crazy watching his supporters willing to tear down the entire legal and judicial system just to defend the guy. I’ll never understand it.
Is there anything that would have prevented a few of his trusted henchmen from copying the whole lot while the boxes were at MAL? Or a way that copying can be detected?Who here honestly believes he wouldn't sell them to *anyone* for the right price?
Well, he obviously wouldn't sell the originals. He might be able to sell it again to a different buyer. Is there anything that would have prevented a few of his trusted henchmen from copying the whole lot while the boxes were at MAL? Or a way that copying can be detected?
absolutely not. Master class criminals. Is there anything that would have prevented a few of his trusted henchmen from copying the whole lot while the boxes were at MAL? Or a way that copying can be detected?
Since he could have declassified anything he wanted, it wouldn't make sense for him to take them without doing so.Who here honestly believes he wouldn't sell them to *anyone* for the right price?
If I had to guess, the materials he had weren't kept for the purposes of selling for profit. They were things he believed could expose him or make him look bad he didn't want to be a part of the public record.Who here honestly believes he wouldn't sell them to *anyone* for the right price?
Could be a bit of both.If I had to guess, the materials he had weren't kept for the purposes of selling for profit. They were things he believed could expose him or make him look bad he didn't want to be a part of the public record.
I would suspect declassification of documents involves more than a “because I said so” approach.Since he could have declassified anything he wanted, it wouldn't make sense for him to take them without doing so.
Or things he could use as leverage against others in retaliation. If I had to guess, the materials he had weren't kept for the purposes of selling for profit. They were things he believed could expose him or make him look bad he didn't want to be a part of the public record.
Since he could have declassified anything he wanted, it wouldn't make sense for him to take them without doing so.
Not for the President.I would suspect declassification of documents involves more than a “because I said so” approach.
I disagree. Insisting on fair treatment under the law is not a willingness to bring down the entire legal and judicial system.Of course he would. The guy is a crook. Always has been, always will be, which everyone knows. Crazy watching his supporters willing to tear down the entire legal and judicial system just to defend the guy. I’ll never understand it.
Bingo.Not for the President.
That's absolutely a possibility. What I put as a notch more likely though is that he hoarded classified material in the likelihood they contained info that would give him legal exposure or simple embarrassment.Who here honestly believes he wouldn't sell them to *anyone* for the right price?
That's the usual Democrat allegations, on every GOP President since and including Dwight Eisenhower, maybe as far back as Hoover.1. He's not very bright.
Oh sure, and if he used them to roll up and beat his dogs with them, he'd be on the hook for animal abuse.2. If it turns out that he declassified them for the purpose of selling intelligence, he's still ****ed.
Unless the documents went through a declassification process and marked declassified, they were not declassified. Not for the President.
Not so, for the President.Unless the documents went through a declassification process and marked declassified, they were not declassified.
