All I ever hear is right wingers defending state rights. Now that we have passed legalizing marijuana and gay marriage will all you defendf our right to these laws even if you don't agree with them? If not then maybe we should overturn some of those redneck anti abortion laws in the bible belt.

In any case, I cannot put my finger on that article of the Constitution that authorizes Congress to ban and criminalize the possession, production or sale of selected herbs anyway.

Many in the conservative point of view do support legalization but when Nixon and Reagan ramped up the war on drugs because they both hated hippies and the anti war crusaders hating pot became the norm in the far right. It had nothing to do with morality but a vendetta. They where both from Cal. and hated what the hippies had done and they knew at that time the right was doomed in the golden state. Once the drug war became PC then the moderate Dem's jumped on board and thus the tryranny of the drug war.

How is keeping marijuana illegal logical? Pot does not make people stupid. Believing that is as dumb as it gets. What about Bill Gates,Pual Allen,Carl Sagan or Gary Kasperoff all being pot smokers. Are they stupid? I think defending the status quo is nonsensical my friend.
