I hear some of the cons on this forum saying that the states do not so a good signature verification on mail in ballots. As someone who is in my late seventies, My signature has changed considerably since the last time I registered. MY hand is not as steady and the signature becomes more of a scribble with every year. I also, because of my health problems have to use a mail in ballot. If you compared my signature now with when I registered I am sure I would lose my vote. The good thing is where I turn in my ballot, I do not actually mail it, the person who receives my ballot has know me for over thirty years, so I am probably safe. I suggest if you want to question the signature on a ballot, especially for us older voters, you need to contact us to verify the ballot, not just look at the signature.

Your issue isn't the problem.

The machine can be set as to how sensitive the verification software will be. The election officials set the sensitivity so low that even ballots with no signature are passed through. That means that bogus ballots are counted.

Just one of the many methods of criminal election fraud used in 2020.

Ballots are barcoded. The one you received is the only one in existence. Who else but you would have signed it?

Signature verification is not needed for identification, though it is needed for legality.

That's bullshit. Such a plot would have been uncovered immediately. Maybe even before election day.

I agree what Mycroft posted is bs.
There are other checks and balances to the voting methods used in the States to weed out bogus ballots.

For example:
is the person a register voter - check
is this the persons signature - check, if not verify.
is the total number of ballots cast equal to the number of registered voters who voted - check
does the total votes cast for an Office equal the sum total of votes cast for that office - check

The bogus ballot line is a red herring. There are many checks in place to ensure the election is secure and fair. Some are still upset Trump lost.

Yep, and there are many, many more.

The most obvious is the voters' ability to check ballots. A forgery scheme would necessarily involve stolen ballots - no one can guess the barcodes - and replacement ballots, which many voters would request, would be flagged immediately if both they and the stolen ballots are submitted.

Source the bold as used in elections.

What changes could be made to eliminate election fraud to as near an impossibility as possible in the future?

All that means is that mass signature verification which the GOP screams MUST BE A STANDARD going forward is a lousy methodology for checking the authenticity of ballots. That is something I have been saying since the GOP has been screaming about it.

Your usual knee jerk reaction to election fraud is not helpful. It would make sense for election officials to check the sensitivity of the signature verification software using known valid signatures. If the system keeps rejecting known valid signatures, what would you have them do, reject valid ballots or loosen the software up until it was accepting a high enough percentage of valid signatures?

Its not a conspiracy. Its a hole in the process. Mass signature verification for election ballots is simply a bad idea.

My state became 100% mail in ballot in 2005. I had been a permanent mail in ballot since the 90s.

In 2009 I was in a near death accident with monster 15 ft waves. My hands and arm were paralyzed and it took 3 surgeries and 3 and a half years of recovery to get the use of my hands and arm back.

The next time I voted after that accident I sent in my ballot but got a letter from the county auditor's office saying there was a problem with my ballot and it wasn't counted. If I wanted it counted I had to go into their office. So I did.

They told me my signature didn't match. I told them why. I showed them my driver's license and they handed me a new signature card to sign. My ballot was counted.

I don't know about where you live but where I live they take the signatures very seriously and won't count a ballot that the signature doesn't match.

You might want to read the following article about voting in my state:

You are dismissed due to faulty comments ...... "that even ballots with no signature are passed through"

You have an answer for everything, sadly most are bullpoop. You got your info from where? Where do these bogus ballots come from? China and are made from bamboo?

There should be a code....maybe last 4 of SS#....i dunno
You are absolutely correct.....signatures change, especially over decades
Medical conditions come up, arthritis, accidents, just plain old age
But mail in ballots do need verification
We have the technology to do so many things, but cost prevents us from implementing
All i know is that is it reads IndependentUSA on your ballot, i want to make sure IndependentUSA actually filled it out.....not a granddaughter, niece, or nephew who saw it and was like "they forgot, let me just help them"
It cant be that hard to come up with a system everyone agrees with, and that makes our elections as close to fraud proof as possible

Disabled persons and the elderly are allowed family assistance when completing ballots both in-person and mail in.

assistance? or them filling it out based on what THEY want, not the ballot holder
If someone cant write, of course someone will have to assist
You missed my meaning
And THIS is happening more and more every election
How many older relatives, maybe even some with dementia and alzheimers are living with relatives across the country
Their well meaning relatives fill out the ballot based on what they(the relative) want, not the actual ballot holder
As we continue to age as a society, and more and more families have 2,3 4 generations in a household....this is occurring

Is it a major issue? Or will it become one? I dunno....
But i forsee it becoming more and more prevalent as we get older and older

Maybe some people are beating their spouse making them vote the way they want also. Making them secretly take pictures of their ballot at the booth showing how they voted. If they don't vote correctly then the spouse gets beat with a belt, locked in a closet and fed dog food.

Amiright?

But i forsee it becoming more and more prevalent as one person wants to control another.

Maybe we need metal detectors and TSA style searches to make sure no electronics are taken to the voting booth. After of course a one-on-one interrogation to make sure no one attempted to intimidate them.

That is why states like Georgia require got rid of signatures and instead asked for ID.
Removes the problem as mentioned above for both the voter and the pollworker

I do not know of anyone saying mail in ballots should not be verified. The ballots are verified.

So the software affected Dem votes, for President, not down tick votes? And it allowed Dem signatures to pass but not republican? How was that pulled off?

Do you realize how absurd (impossible) this sounds? Tell the cult to come up with another idea, this one is looney tunes stupid. Oh, wait, alll cult ideas are looney tunes stupid. Sorry.

Honest this a very rare 4 full clown shoes stupid post. 🤡🤡🤡🤡
