No, I don't know of many patriots pushing the obstruction angle. Lots of people on the left have, for sure, but not patriots. Further...it wasn't one of the original points. That's still a fact.

I do, and it still won't change the fact that obstruction wasn't one of the original points. How can I know this? Because the Russian collusion conspiracy was in play even before the election. So far, the only person that we have actual solid evidence of obstruction of justice was Hillary when she destroyed 33K emails by using special software to wipe clean hard drives and smashed multiple devices.

Did you read the article? It's from one month after the appointment of the Special Counsel. Also, I specifically argued that the firing of Comey was obstruction of justice the same week....probably the same day...that the firing happened. Obstruction of justice was always on the table.

You're wrong, but it's okay to be wrong. We're all wrong now and again. Just...walk away.

The obstruction of justice goes back to the firing of Comey. Trump was President when he fired Comey. You claimed it was a brand new goal post, and I showed you that it wasn't. That it was, in fact, a major point of the investigation as early as one month after the appointment of the special counsel. And now you're going on about collusion.

Are you okay? Are you running a temperature? You're style is to be more trollish, less incoherent, and right now I'm concerned for your well being.

Trump was....if the general public wanted Pence, they would have made him the candidate, not Trump

if the dems want to try to impeach that is up to them, but they know that is DOA before it even starts

there is nothing actionable for the DOJ at this point for Trump or his family....i guess we will see on the NY cases, but my guess will be same there

So let nature take its course, and we see who the dems put up against him in 2020....it better be someone a LOT better than Hillary

Otherwise if the economy is still rolling, we probably get another term of Trump

I think perhaps you've confused or conflated the prioritization of wants with the existence and acknowledgement of wants.

I think too you are naive to the US Constitution, or at least Article II, Section I and the 12th Amendment of it, the process of electing presidents and vice presidents, and the workings of electoral college.

Voters' votes in the presidential election serve only to inform their state electors how they, the voters, would have the electors cast ballots for POTUS and VPOTUS, as per whatever guidelines the respective voters' states have stipulated. (Consult the respective states' election laws to learn what stipulations each state has.)
  2. Electors, in turn, cast two votes and thus elect two individuals: the POTUS and VPOTUS.
    • "[The Electors] shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President."
      -- US Constitution, 12th Amendment
Simply put, a vote for whomever one wants for POTUS is every bit as much a vote for someone as VPOTUS. If one doesn't want a given VPOTUS nominee emplaced, and that not-wanting is to one more important than is one's wanting the POTUS nominee's inauguration, one must then either abstain, write in someone, or choose another of the pre-printed candidate pairs. One's doing so is one's business/choice, and it's a matter of priorities -- priorities driven and ranked by "God and the voter only know what" -- among wants and "not-wants."

It may surprise you too to learn that a POTUS cannot fire a VPOTUS. A POTUS cannot because, like the POTUS, the VPOTUS was independently elected, and thus does not serve "at the pleasure of the president."

That is absolutely not so. The OLC opinion is just that, a departmental opinion. The DoJ can unilaterally rescind it.

Also, Congress can, if enough members vote so, outlaw the DoJ OLC's presidential-non-prosecutability opinion. I can't say that'd result in the DoJ filing charges, but such a law would make it possible to do so. (I'm sure there're plenty of things Nancy can trade with Mitch and Kevin in exchange for a veto-proof vote on such a measure. The question is whether she'd do so. Mitch and Kevin would almost certainly be open to such an exchange for it's a political win-win for them.)
