Every government taxes the citizens. USA spends $700 Billion a year on useless military. If $400 Billion was used on Welfare, decent living could be provided to 20 million people.

Not every government takes a majority in taxes. But the good news for you is that we spend about a trillion on welfare, so 2.5 times what you're calling for here.

money spent on defense is not waste.
 
I believe $250 Billion is more then adequate. The rest can go to people who need them.

Most of the 750 billion is pay, education, and benefits. so actually the extra 500 billion is being spent on welfare, well not welfare in the strictest sense, but it is spent on giving people a decent income and healthcare.

Definitely -- unfortunately much of it is used for income of rich people and companies.
 
Today everyone is focused on horrors of terrorism. But few people realize that tobacco kills more Americans in a month then terrorists did in two decades.
