On January 6, Kamala Harris will preside over Congress to count and certify the electoral results. Given how she and the American left have continually pummeled Trump as literally Hitler, should she? If I truly believed he is what they say he is, I wouldn't. Certify a dyed in the wool totalitarian/dictator/nazi/despot? Doesn't she have a moral imperative to do everything in her power to stand in the way, to protect the republic?

Contrary to the expressed and acted on wishes of Trump in 2021, Kamala Harris will be true to her Oath of Office, and perform her elected duty.

Since her defeat on election night, I am not sure she is sober enough to try.

Two reasons she can't.

1) Responsibility.

2) They proved incompetent by running. 10 Biden should have held out, run from the White House, why waste time and energy running around the Country, it all comes down to astrology anyway and he already defeated 5 Donald Trump who has the New Moon both times. Besides that, I wrote them about this again and again in great detail. So besides incompetent, they have a communication problem. They aren't listing to me, all they have is Partisan answers and their own greed. So fooey, 5 Trump sure thing. -14 Kamala.

She has no choice.

Protecting the republic by undermining it is quite the creative concept.

Not in a country that is ruled by law.

The VP role in election certification is ceremonial, so she doesn't have a choice. I think that this would be a question for the SCOTUS if it were the opposite situation, though. I think that the next VP might feel differently about the ceremonial nature of the role, and he has said as much.

Assuming that the election in 2028 is a standard election, there might be issues with certification if the far right loses.

Of course she should.

She has no choice.
Not according to Trump. He said the VP can reject any EC votes she wants, sending the issue to either the House or back to the states. Don't you remember Trump saying how unhappy he was going to be if Pence didn't do this?

Perhaps, aghast, people can disagree with an outcome, but can still put the US Constitution and it's laws above personal feelings?

Trump's behavior the last certification is going to be an anomaly in American history.

I hope.

I am willing to bet that this would somehow be different.
