Oh my, you can't be serious; you actually factored in the exchange rate of the two currencies? 😜 You somehow think that is relevant to a discussion about individual tax burdens of two separate countries?

I'm frankly flummoxed as to how to educate someone from scratch about the purchasing powers of a currency singularly related to the country of that currency's origin. So too are the relevant tax burdens when being compared.
What does a Honda Civic cost in Canada and what does it cost in the USA? Educate me on that.

Who gives a rip? What does a hip replacement cost in America and what does it cost in Canada? Educate yourself on that.

Attempting to use the relative value of one country's currency vs another to debate the respective tax burdens is idiotic in the extreme.

The tax brackets stipulate a percentage of income and that percentage of income is paid upon the income derived within their respective countries. Surely you can understand that.

Your point would equate to me suggesting you pay at least 30% more tax, regardless of bracket, than any Canadian because your dollar is roughly worth 30% more on the currency market.

I hope you can see how ridiculous dollar value conflation within tax burden stats is.

I understand that Canadians pay a higher percentage on their income in taxes. It is very simple.

But, equating that to a loss of freedoms as you have in your previous posts is stupid at best when it is only your "simple" opinion with all agencies and org's tasked with providing those stats, some even Americentric and right wing, agree the U.S. is lower than Canada in all measurable freedoms.

Facts that cannot be refuted are often simply denied by those afflicted with the MAGAT virus. We have come to expect no less.

"We"? You think you speak for a group or something? You don't.
Oh, I think it's become rather evident my opinions are widely shared. Especially so on the issue of MAGAT's denial of factual info..

I voted yes, with some hesitation.

The problem with this is that then Canada would be full of Americans. It would ruin Canada.

Yes there are a few others here that pretend to speak for a group as well.
As they are granted leave to do by those of us who are capable of assimilating facts vs mere MAGA undoctrinaire.
