The history of man: man has always been peaceful, loved his fellows, and shat rainbows.

It's not accurate, but it's politically correct, which is more important.
 
I voted no. IMHO, instead of running from controversial parts of our history, we need to dispassionately teach it, study it, and dissect it.

I am retired. I have no line of work; however, I have some avocational business interests, mostly real estate.
