sigh. has anyone ever complained about THAT?
It's an illustration of the point. If we're performances base, those from sub-standard schools cannot compete with those from superior schools. It's the same with athletics..and well most anything. Those with skill and opportunity succeed and can compete against the best. Those without cannot. What justifies some areas as needing placement of unfair laws while others go by pure competition.
You see, the solution to your problem isn't that we should give those without the ability to compete a chance to play for the Patriots. It's that the school system which is in dire need of an overhaul needs to be overhauled. Fix the base, don't apply band-aids. In the end, a band-aid will not fix the root problem.
althletics is very different. education is much more important, and that's the place where i believe we still need affirmative action. mostly economics, imo.Yes they have. Thats why we now have the bull**** "everyone is a winner" crap. Can't let little Johnny learn that you have to work to be the best, everything is just given to you.
It is amazing how stupid the majority of people are.
can students who attend sub par schools receiving a sub par education compete for the same university spots as those students attending superior schools?
those with skill are not necessarily those with opportunity. football, basketball and other sports are in not the same arena as education. It's an illustration of the point. and just who is stuipd?
no, they're not.....but poor often means minority. and poor and minority together are clearly 2 strikes. Then why don't you adress the issue of poverty? Poor and minority aren't interchangable
in any form? The idiots who support racism via government. Let my brothers and sisters stand up on their own. We don't need the ****ing "white mans" charity.
those with skill are not necessarily those with opportunity. football, basketball and other sports are in not the same arena as education.
it's not MY problem, it's OUR problem. equal opportunity should mean just that, and it clearly doesn't.

who said that? are you serioulsy telling me poor black people have the same opportunity as pooor whites? it's your contention that there is no racism. got it.So what about poor white and asain children? It's bull**** racism no matter how you try and justify it, can't you see that?
So you are saying blacks are to stupid or weak to make it on our own? Are you saying because we are poor we can't make it like a poor white person???
It's racist bull****.

hmm....let me put that before all the white people i work with, in a large bank that clearly is discriminatory.
of course people should be judged on their merit, and i'm not taking it personally, my family is very much "integrated".Absolutly.
Each person should be judged on their own merit. Not an arbitrary system by race.
Getting away from this is the only way to let blacks rise up for ourselves.
I guess you can tell I am pretty sick of the excuses. Don't take it personal, just a hot subject for me.

i probably already do. why, i wonder?I work in a lab, you probably don't want to know the demographics of physicists.
lol.....i grew up poor and white. did you grow up poor?Yes. They do. I know, I grew up black.
Redicules fallacy.
My contention is that there is. Coming from people like yourself who think blacks can't make it without some kind of advantage.
How white guilt of you.
Yet Rob Johnson was never taken as one of the best QBs ever, and he has better stats than McNabb and a Super Bowl win.
but how can you deny children the opportunity for an equal education?
because right now, it's not happening. hence, the opportunity to attend top notch colleges is denied, at least more remote.
i don't belive equal opportunity = equal outcome, but i want the OPPORTUNITY to be there.
as i mentioned before, economics plays a big role.
You cannot possibly mean Rob Johnson. He was ****ing terrible. His stats aren't even in the same ballpark as McNabb's. Although he was on the Bucs superbowl team, it was as a backup to Brad Johnson.
And if we compare Brad Johnson's career stats: Brad Johnson: Career Stats
To McNabb's career stats: Donovan McNabb: Career Stats
We see that they are pretty similar in the raw passing stats, except for TD's and INT's, where McNabb looks a good deal better in both categories (20% more TDs and 25% fewer INTS with a similar number of total attempts).
Those are far from being "better" stats for Johnson, if anything those passing numbers are worse (except completion percentage. Johnson's got that one... barely)
Add in McNabb's rushing stats and the length of their careers to achieve the similar stats and there's no comparison. McNabb slaughters Brad Johnson.
Here are Rob Johnson's stats, by the way, in case you think I'm bull****ting that he sucked:
Rob Johnson: Career Stats
Rob Johnson seriously sucked.
white people have the same chance already. black men are inherently physically superior? really? are you angling for an MNF job? That still doesn't address the disparity in racial composition. We need the NFL to be more representative of America. White people deserve the same chance as blacks to play professional football. Black men's inherent physical superiority affords them an unfair physical advantage over whites. This must be rectified.
You mean like the white person that got passed up for the black that flunked out? Or the white person that scored much higher on the entrance exam but got beat out by someone else's race?
Since when are 18 and 19 year olds children? I suppose you think we send children off to war as well?
Welcome to the real world. Work hard and rise up to the challenge.
Not as big as you mite think. It is still irrelevant. any quota based on race is wrong, period. Nothing you can say to justify such racism, and it is racism.
no, i mean like the third grader who doesn't have text books.......You mean like the white person that got passed up for the black that flunked out? Or the white person that scored much higher on the entrance exam but got beat out by someone else's race?
