Where does it end? A point guard in the NBA votes for the wrong guy and has their contract cancelled?

It's up to the people he works for. If they want to make their business all about politics, that's their choice.

Just like any other business.

Or assaults a Governor:

CHAMBERLAIN, South Dakota—A small-town cook who said he was forced into a photo with South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem went from flipping pancakes and burgers to flipping the bird in the picture.

As Trump says: You are FIRED!

MAGA.

What if a team owner is a big Trump supporter. One player keeps talking about how Trump is a fascist and needs to go to prison. Would you be fine with eliminating him from the team?

Yes, I agree. Just raising the question.

Unsolicited piece of advice.... Nobody gives a shit about your political opinions if you do your damn job, do it well and keep your mouth shut... Being good at something unrelated to politics doesn't suddenly make you an expert at anything else..

Or kneels during the anthem.

FIRED!

You're making "anti-Semitism and bigotry are bad and should have consequences" way more ****ing complicated than it has to be.

"bUt WhErE dOeS iT sToP" idk dawg, takes literally zero effort to not be a racist or homophobic ****ing asshole.

Also, most pro athletes' contracts have very specific clauses about what type of behavior would be cause for their team employer to terminate them from their contract, and "I voted for Trump" isn't normally in those contracts. It's usually something criminal or conduct that is "detrimental to the team."

Sorry but this is a rather lazy effort. Who was fired as a result of voting for the wrong guy? And I presume there is evidence that was why his contract was not renewed?

In the case of Kyrie Irving, no one doubts he is a superior player.

Do you have any examples of a point guard's voting having an impact on his NBA career?

I have been following the league since the 60s and know of none.

Is this a hypothetical? If so, how would anyone know who any player voted for?

And why on earth would they have their contract canceled for voting?

Gosh!

What are you talking about? (Some of us don't follow sports.)

How did they find out how he voted?
Or raise black-power fists in defiance:

"FIRED!" as Trump would say.

MAGA.

Voting for the wrong guy isn’t anti-semitism.
This is a highly dishonest OP.

That point guard you reference is an anti-Semite.
Why do you enable that?

This thread can't be about Kyrie. It has nothing to do with the Kyrie issues which are never ending.

Is that what he's talking about?

The guy who's encouraging racial hatred shouldn't have to face consequences from his employer?

I'd fire his butt in a quick second, and it would be really hard to shame me for it.
