The mayor in the video thinks police chases should be illegal because it cost the taxpayers too much money to cover potential injuries.

Should the cost of this healthcare be more important than the cost of letting criminals go without a chase?

In certain situations, it is better for the police to not chase criminals, one example would be near schools(when I was at Mirimar, there was a tragic accident involving a police car hitting a group of school kids during a high speed chase). As a general rule, the answer would be "no", but there does need to be exceptions to the rule, and common sense needs to come into play. If a chase is heading into a residential area, it might be better to call it off.

It's stupid. But hey, if you want to stop chasing them, instruct them to stop or get shot in the back of the head. That'll stop chases real quick.

This mayor needs to be thrown out of her job.
