Should Biden comment on today's events in Kabul?

Should Biden take questions from the media regarding Afghanistan no matter what the source?

I will be surprised if there are not some high-level departures from the Biden Administration in the next few days……
That will be hard to do since he bragged about his appointees being the best for their positions.

Genuinely don’t care whether he does or not

  • Is he totally stupid? He is unable to convey a message that sounds sincere. Poor me, look I what I'm having to deal with. I've been busy, I was the father of a soldier, I know how you feel, oh whoa is me. Nobody cares about you right now Joe, how are you going to fix it. Moving forward.

Yes

And while he's at it, he can tell us whether or not he plans on firing the brain-dead assholes who gave the Taliban a list of names of American personnel and Afghan allies that were to be evacuated.
he's making a fool of himself now

Biden, thus far, has not made any comments about the bombings in Kabul today. His comments regarding Kabul in general have been rather sparse and he has only answered questions from a select few, favored reporters. Is this a good strategy or should we expect him to put himself out in front of the media to answer whatever questions might come his way?

Not entirely sure this is the address we should be hearing.

I'm watching it now and Joe isn't looking all that strong. Once again, preselected reporters asking pre-approved questions and Joe just looks worse and worse every time he comes out.

C'est la Vie. This is what America wanted.

Being tardy, today, doesn’t send a good message, IMO.
He should resign and let Kamala run the show.
I’m thinking Kamala was the insurance policy against removal.

I cannot believe what we are hearing. Somebody on the left help me understand what we are hearing?

Now there will be an Afghanistan Underground Railroad?

At one point Biden said "I've been instructed to call on... <someone>" as if he has no damn clue where he is.

I predict mass departures in the next few days…..

He doesn’t have a clue…..

Bagram wasn't "value added"? Whoever said that should resign in disgrace. That makes no sense on its face.
The "press" is useless.

Is anyone else catching how often he has to pause, search for a word, and still fumble through it? Or just starts to ramble.

He didn’t want to pick on Peter Doocey, Psaki’s nemesis…..poor Joe…

"I bear responsibility, fundamentally...blah blah blah it's Trump's fault".
I would have given Biden credit if he just stopped before once again, blaming Trump.

What would Biden do without Beau and Trump to deflect to?

Biden's speech is very halting today.

Kind of interesting to finish with a reporter who does not think much of Biden anyway.
