Should you have to wear one for your work? If not, then why should others?

Only if all suspects must wear them as well. Why should the word of the arrested count without video back-up but not the word of the arresting officer?
Only if you're going to force all people everywhere to wear them. I trust the police a lot more than I trust 99% of the population.
You can't be ****ing serious...
Because police are authorized to use up to and including deadly force against citizens of the United States of America and no other job entails that. That's why.
That's true. Cops wearing cameras tends to protect the cops more than anyone else.
Well, everyone is authorized the same as police, but no other job is similar to theirs.
Bartenders and teachers can use deadly force to get a person to comply to their orders? Seriously... ? Didn't know that.
I now have much more power than I Thought. ****ing kids are dead meat tomorrow...
Cops can only shoot in defense, same as everyone else.
With guns maybe... tasers, bean bags, rubber bullets and tear gas at the drop of a hat. And the issue wasn't about just deadly force, it was about power over the public. Nobody can stop you but a cop. Nobody can get a search warrant or hand cuff you but a cop. Nobody can demand you do a DUI check or stay put but a cop. Don't listen? Hand cuffs. Taser. Shooting. The self defence and just ifcation come later. THAT is why they need cameras.
I agree with that. But they are no more "authorized to kill Americans" than any other citizen.
Straw Man... 99% of the population is not out forcing citizens to comply to their orders...
Should All Police Have to Wear Body Cameras?
The officer's camera would serve the same purpose.Only if all suspects must wear them as well. Why should the word of the arrested count without video back-up but not the word of the arresting officer?

Um, actually cops force citizens to comply with the laws, not "their orders".
Not necessarily. Police are increasingly ordering people to stop filming them, and there are no laws that prevent people from doing so.Um, actually cops force citizens to comply with the laws, not "their orders".

Unaware of any laws, but the vast majority of jurisdictions have no such laws. Point stands that the vast majority of the time, if not at all times, the police are issuing orders to stop filming that they have no legitimate authority to do.
Just one example.
Telling people not to do something they have a right to do isn't part of a policeman's job description, and they aren't arresting people for it. Policemen are hired to enforce laws, not make them up as they go along or enforce their own orders.
Watch the video below. After they roughed up their suspect, they chased his brother into a house without a warrant and arrested him - for videotaping them. This happended here where I live and until heavy pressure was applied from the public, nothing was going to happen. It happens.
