When you don't arrest and don't charge the crime rate on paper goes down. Ask the mayors and DAs of any Marxist-run city such as LA and San Francisco.

I love ChatGPT, but you can't just ask it one question and be lazy.

It takes a series of questions to actually get a good answer.

The thing is, AI doesn't reveal its sources. Consequently, you either simply accept what ChatGPT and BARD tell you or you have to do your own research. Just ask the lawyer who submitted a court brief prepared by AI. It just made up the citations. Judge was not happy when it came to light.
 

It's not hard to verify things.

I'm not suggesting that anyone use it to write a legal brief without having it checked. I use it all the time just to have it discuss something I am interested in, and it is almost always accurate.

It is already way better than the average human. It won't be long before it is better than 99% of humans.

Humans aren't perfect either.
 
It gives you the answer why and you just refuse to accept it because it goes against your entire belief system and is like trying to tell a devout Muslim that Mohammed was a warlord and then having to spend hours back and forth listening to the Muslim arguing about why that was. Or trying to tell a Christian that there was no body found in the tomb because it most likely was never put in any tomb because that wasn't customary for people who the government hung as seditionists.

It is when AI makes up shit out of the blue. The unfortunate reality is people are lazy. Students are lazy and will let AI write their term papers. Teachers are lazy and will not verify the student's bibliography. The state of scholarship is going to go downhill fast.

It is illusory that the crime rate has fallen. It's like saying the DA in Los Angeles has single-handeldly decreased the crime rate through his innovative crime measures and not mentioning he refuses to add the separate gun charge and is being sued over it with the case lagging a year and a half, not prosecuting violent felonies when the perpetrators are "of color", the police knowing all this and just not making arrests or bothering to investigate because they know the case will not be taken, etc.
