Aaaaaaaand that's the ballgame, folks. Pelosi has done an about-face in light of the new evidence.

The head of the Democratic National Committee is calling for the resignation of U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, who has been under fire after admitting to inappropriate communications with women online.

"It is with great disappointment that I call on Representative Anthony Weiner to resign," DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in a statement Saturday. "The behavior he has exhibited is indefensible and Representative Weiner's continued service in Congress is untenable.

"This sordid affair has become an unacceptable distraction for Representative Weiner, his family, his constituents and the House -- and for the good of all, he should step aside and address those things that should be most important -- his and his family's well-being."

And House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair Steve Israel have told Weiner he should resign, a Democratic source with knowledge of the conversations told CNN. Both released statements also demanding his resignation Saturday.

Weiner is hoping the Clintons will bail him out. The real problem concerns his timing. The Democrats want to retake Congress, and a weinie-roast would obstruct their path. So, Weiner has to go, at least for now. He might be able to stage a come-back (no pun intended), sometime after the 2012 elections. In New York, his misconduct might even boost his popularity.

You guys who think you can casterate a Weiner have missed by a hair but your in the Ball park. Weiners are still there in the end it's just that they become useless and no matter how semi-hard they try nothing will come of it.

Weiner doesn't have to step down, and as a conservative I hope he doesn't so that we can bring this up, over, and over again all the way to 2012.

But, he can be as foolish as he wants, and until he is up for re election, and his district votes him out, if they do, then he doesn't have to listen to any of these people.
