You would remember having the Russian ambassador to your office at a time the Russians were being accused of interfering in the election campaign.
Sessions looks nervous as hell. You can visibly see him swallowing a few times. His turkey is cooked. He's lying and someone will prove it.
Yea I guess, if it was unusual for a senator to be meeting with foreign officials.
I'm not sure of Sessions connection with Trumps campaign outside of being an early supporter.
Nervous doesn't mean guilty.
I think it's far more concerning that Franken knows of a CNN story he doesn't expect Sessions to know. I think Franken outed himself as the leak for the story.
And you expect Franken not to fill in some holes with lies?So what if Franken leaked anything? I'm no Franken fan, but if there's some dirt on an asshole, then leak that **** to Americans! We NEED to know.
Me neither. And it is entirely possible the meeting was innocuous and that was why he didn't mention it. But that choice has gotten him into hot water now.
And you expect Franken not to fill in some holes with lies?
I appreciate the concept of checks and balances in our government. Perhaps you do not?
LOL...
Franken was always lying about the republicans when he was a liberal radio icon. He probably fabricates things for CNN et. al. and they they are now being called fake news!
So... are you implying that Jeff Sessions is not lying in front of Congress?
He might be.
I just know that Franken lies almost any time his mouth is open.
Franken was the interviewer. He wasn't under oath in front of Congress.
Franken was the interviewer. He wasn't under oath in front of Congress.
Are you implying it's OK for him to lie?
that if he is a CNN leak ans an unnamed source, and he lies to CNN... Do you see the implications of what I am saying?
He almost admitted to tight ties with CNN.
Under U.S. common law - that is law as ruled by court decision - the interviewer is allowed to lie to get a confession. It applies to cops all over the USA. It also applies to Congressmen. Franken wasn't under oath. Franken can say whatever he wants to elicit the truth from Sessions. Sessions was under oath, not Franken.
Notice how the Crap Journalists dont even believe that he lied, they go with "Did not disclose".
Well guess what, he was never asked.
NEXT!
For twelve years of my life, it was my job to interview people on behalf of the US government. I was very good at that job. Sessions is lying.
Nope, withholding information, which he was allowed to do because the prosecutor/interviewers sucked.
I'm not the only one who thinks he lied.
Top article in the news.
Sessions 'spoke twice with Russia during Trump campaign' | Daily Mail Online
Attorney General Jeff Sessions 'spoke twice with Russian ambassador during Trump's campaign' but failed to disclose either meeting when asked during his confirmation hearing
When I first heard this - I assumed it was another witch hunt by one party against the other. Now, I am not so sure.
'The Washington Post said one of the meetings was a private conversation between Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak that took place in the senator's office in September.
Justice officials said Sessions met with Kislyak on Sept. 8 in his capacity as a member of the armed services panel rather than in his role as a Trump campaign surrogate.
“He was asked during the hearing about communications between Russia and the Trump campaign — not about meetings he took as a senator and a member of the Armed Services Committee,” Flores said.
She added that Sessions last year had more than 25 conversations with foreign ambassadors as a senior member of the Armed Services Committee, including the British, Korean, Japanese, Polish, Indian, Chinese, Canadian, Australian and German ambassadors, in addition to Kislyak.
Could we have the next fake news story please?
