There are two ways this is going to go (in order of least to most likely):

1. All of Der Dumpster's campaign bull**** rhetoric meets up with reality which he actually seems to understand, yields and tries to actually govern based on that reality. The result might not be a total disaster but he betrays everything he's said and everyone who voted for him. Or:

2. He blunders ahead with the third failed iteration (see: Reagan, BushII) of voodoo economics in which he slashes taxes for the rich, spends lavishly (mostly on unneeded military pork projects) generates a short-term economic growth bubble which explodes the (already huge but falling) deficits followed by a major recession. We see this B-movie re-run every time republicans have had control of the WH and Congress for the past 30+ years.

But there are three things these two differing scenarios have in common: Both come after a period of steady, if not stellar, economic recovery and gains by a democratic administration; a large minority of this country will buy and gulp down this snake oil no matter how often it makes them sicker than they believed they were before; and when when that happens they it's a certainty that they will not hold themselves or the failed politicians accountable but blame those who tried to stop it from happening.

Have to reject this either/or.

Trump won. Get over it.

... and you really need to see someone and deal with your anger issues.

Sure...

Expect a D movie, not B.

EVERYONE needs to step back and take a deep breath.

The real problem in America is that BOTH sides are being manipulated and buying into the exact game they (the big money elitist) are playing on us all both left and right.

The game is all about consolidating power and wealth in a few at the top. To do that they need ALL of us focused on a different enemy...each other.

With all their billions, they use the media to fan the flames of hatred toward one another and thus keep us away from the real problem. CAREER POLITICIANS payed to do the bidding for those elitist.

I hope over the next 4 years Americas start to see the real enemy and stop being suckered into this never ending cycle.

Never implied otherwise. Looks like you pretty pissed-off. Why would that be if your such a "winner?"

That fence is not going to be comfortable for long. Or is that always where you sit?

I generally sit on the side of reason, which generally excludes the either/or fallacy because there are generally third (and sometimes fourth) possibilities.;)

This is a debate forum. People are heated. And I damn sure didn't see you condemning angry right-wingers over the past year with "cankles" or "witch" or "Satan".

I'm not pissed off at all and I'm not a "winner" either.

I'm pleased that the American people didn't elect a corrupt, dishonest, criminal, but I'm no Trump fan either.

Well said. As I have stated often, both major parties owe their hearts and souls to corporations, wall street firms, lobbyists, special interests, mega money donors, the moneyed elite. Neither party will ever bite the hand that feeds it. One should stuff cotton in their ears to drown out all the political rhetoric which is polar opposite, then watch how each party governs, one won't see much of a difference. The party moneyed backers, the same backers in a lot of cases for both parties won't let them stray too far from their interests.

I've never seen such a whiny group of people in my life when it comes to elections. 47% of registered voters did not vote. How about the next time you convince them to get off their butts and vote? The right won due to laziness, get over it and deal with the next 4 years like the right has dealt with it the past 8.

Its going to be a rough ride for you, bruh.

How you do flatter yourself.

And yet you got a corrupt, dishonest, and ignorant criminal who got in by appealing to racists and neo-nazis now. You're absolutely right about not being a winner. There are no winners from this. Well done.

For all of us, "dude." But you're one of those we can rely on to blame dems and liberals pretty soon for the all damage Trump does. Because that's what you lot do.

He won states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin by flipping people who have voted democrat for years. But if you want to call your own base racists, be my guest.

I realize this is the attitude a lot of Sanders supporters had about seeing Trump getting elected: that he'd crash everything down and out of the rubble a glorious rebirth will occur. It's a fantasy. Nothing good is ever born out of political rubble.

You're the one calling all of them racists, not I. But if you can deny your own lying eyes that saw the types of scum who showed up inside Trump's rallies for the past 3 months (at least) by all means keep doing it.

The nation's people are at war with the special interests. This is not a bad thing. But, some of the casualties are going to be awfully pissed.

Trump received 23% of the Latino vote, 12% of the black one, and 53% of the votes from white women. So, the idea that he is only the white man's candidate is probably not true. But, that he will be against policies which favor or make excuses for illegal immigration, street criminals, the chronically unemployed, abortion, and trade agreements which bleed jobs is pretty much for sure. So, a lot of special interest groups will be pissed.

Pence will be anti-gay. And, Trump plans to give him a free reign on domestic social issues. So, I imagine those people will be even more pissed. I imagine Rudy will be in charge of cleaning up the cities. So, anyone who cringes about his law and order ideas will also be very pissed.

I imagine the illegals are already packing. They know their days are numbered. And, I doubt they want to sit in a detention camp. So, heading home early may not be that bad of an idea for them.

Your imagination "reads" like a hellscape.
