Now, this is what Tim Scott said back when he was still a candidate in the race, before he was jockeying to be Trump's VP (He won't be).

“I don’t think he can win,” Scott said. “You have to be able to win in Georgia. I don’t think he can win in Georgia. I think you’ll have to be able to win in Pennsylvania.”

The script has already been written, and everyone in the GOP, politicians, pundits, "conservative influencers", etc, will abide by it as they are told. Despite the narrative of Trump dominating polls, nobody in the GOP is convinced Trump will actually win. This is why the narrative is already being set, by everyone either in Trump world, or trying to get in Trump's good graces. If Trump loses, they will ALL claim it was stolen, all of them. Every single one, which will set up another Trump run in 2028, or somebody he handpicks to be his MAGA "successor".

This story and the comments are from Oct 2023 when Scott was a candidate. Hardly has merit now.

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., said Donald Trump doesn’t have what it takes to win a general election, the sharpest jab he has thrown at the former president and a clear rebuke of the electability of Trump, who continues to lead the 2024 Republican primary field.

It does have merit. Back when Scott was running he could (somewhat at least), give his real opinions.

Now, he's forced to read a script or be ousted from the party for good.

Neither side accepts it when they lose. I see no reason to think that will change in 2024.

Tim Scott is a feckless coward like all the rest.

If Trump loses, I doubt there's going to be any elected Republicans that accept his loss this time, besides a few.
I sincerely hope the opposite; but they will probably blame "Lawfare", and move to incorporate it into their strategy next time.

I wish. The left spent 4 years screaming about Russian collusion when they lost in 2016. Hillary still claims that theory has merit despite being debunked by the Mueller report.

And Stacey Abrams to this day still claims she lost the GA governorship due to cheating.

It never ceases to amuse me how many Gamma level politicians there are in the GOP who folded like a cheap suit to Beta male Trump.
🤭

GOP might be the most cowardly group of people in this country

Hillary called Trump to concede and Democrats didn't riot in the capitol.

But you knew that

Trump definitely colluded with Russians. Mueller report fully supports it.

Yeah, remember when Hillary was so pissed she sent hundreds of people to storm the Capitol. Oh wait . . . that was Trump.

I remember when the Supreme Court decided the winner of the 2000 election. VP Al Gore was so furious he considered counting fake elector ballots in the certification so he could win . . . oh wait, that was Pence.

I'm sorry remind me again when the Democrats refused to accept the peaceful transfer of power. Help me out here.

Deflection is boring. And Democrats illegally occupied the Senate building during the senate confirmation of Kavanaugh.

Hillary conceded then spent the next 4 years claiming Russian collusion.

I remember Hillary whining about Russian collusion - that she herself manufactured when she used campaign funds to impede an election with the Steele dossier.

Democrats spent the next four years calling Bush the "sElected" president.

I'm sorry remind me again when the Democrats refused to accept the peaceful transfer of power. Help me out here.
Sure. Remember the times they lost? Those times. Except for 2004. The Dems tried to rig that one via 60 minutes, but it backfired and blew up in their faces.

Mark my words. If Trump wins in November, the calls of collusion will be deafening.

You must be reading the MSNBC version of the report. The official report said there's no proof there was collusion, as much as any negative can be proved.

Lmao. How is responding to the assertion "Democrats dont accept losses" by noting that Clinton conceded to Trump a "deflection"? Lmao X2

She conceded, then she spent the next 4 years claiming the election was stolen from her.

You do realize these are not mutually exclusive.

Did she file lawsuits & attempt to overthrow the results by forging documents and lying to electors? Nope. Not even close to what the GOP is and has done.

Thems the facts.

Wrong. I read the report itself. You should give it a try.

The report said there is not enough evidence of criminal conspiracy, however, it also pointed out explicitly that it does not mean that criminal conspiracy did not exist. Mueller even came out later and said he did NOT clear Trump of it.

As for collusion, it said it did not consider that question because collusion is not a crime in criminal code. However, it provided all kinds of evidence for collusion as in regular English understanding of the word.
