Defund the police? Two who do not agree to defund them. Scott as a current leader and Trey Gowdy returned from Congress agree. Do not defund the cops.

Gowdy brings up a very very good point too.

It happened to Scott.

Gowdy asked, who is going to investigate crime and homicides if they defund the police? The problem is that most crime and homicides in black communities don't get investigated as it is...so why not use the money spent on police for other things that would benefit the black community more?

You have a link for that or are you just spitballing.

Yet if that was said about white communities, Democrats would come unglued in a moments notice.

Should we spend more on whites to improve their conditions too?

Spitball yourself to the OP and watch the video.

NOWHERE in the video did they state The problem is that most crime and homicides in black communities don't get investigated as it is.

They said without police, who is going to run investigations.

So it wasn't in the video, you just made it up i.e. spitballing.

Oh, you should've said what you meant...instead of spitballing.

Ah, too bad, it still has a paywall. I'll guess you'll just have to stay uninformed.

Sorry, no paywall for me. Just exposure on how you tried to lie about your post. Its only 4 paragraphs with nothing about most crime and homicides in black communities don't get investigated.

Its just an article about unsolved murders.

But it does show your willingness to falsify a claim and then try to hide behind a paywall.

Typical

The only thing you exposed is your stupidity.

You really want to push it huh.

Fine, provide the link and quote to your claim of most crime and homicides in black communities don't get investigated.

Let find out about this stupidity claim. You going to provide it or are you all talk?

I've posted the link twice for you already. It's not the kind of article you can cherry pick because it's mostly maps showing where most of the crimes and homicides go uninvestigated...and it's almost always in low income under served black areas. Seeing the maps sure makes it's easier to understand why Blacks are screaming for justice.

THis is the ENTIRE article from your convenient (Behind the paywall) link where you tried to hide the information. Remember?

Christopher Dickson felt justice had been served. For weeks, he’d bragged around his neighborhood about winning $5,000 in a dispute settled on the TV show “Judge Joe Brown.”

On a cool evening in July 2009, the 39-year-old auto mechanic emerged with his nightly tallboy from Dailey’s Package Liquors, a shoebox-shaped shop that sits in a violent 12-block swath of North Omaha. Under the store’s dark-blue awning, a man with a gun demanded Dickson’s cash. As Dickson tried to flee, the gun went off.

Detectives canvassed the area — a mix of dilapidated duplexes, auto repair shops and corner liquors — for witnesses but never found enough evidence. Nine years later, no one has been arrested in Dickson’s slaying, one of thousands of homicides clustered in neighborhoods across the nation where killers are hardly ever brought to justice.

The Washington Post has identified the places in dozens of American cities where murder is common but arrests are rare. These pockets of impunity were identified by obtaining and analyzing up to a decade of homicide arrest data from 50 of the nation’s largest cities. The analysis of 52,000 criminal homicides goes beyond what is known nationally about the unsolved cases, revealing block by block where police fail to catch killers.

There was NEVER any information about your claim of most crime and homicides in black communities don't get investigated ANYWHERE in this article. But you tried to fake it when you got caught knowingly lying about your claim.

How does it feel to be exposed for falsifying your claim on Debate Politics? Knowingly lying about your link hoping no one could read it behind a paywall.

You would up being just another leftist fake poster. Congratulations. I guess credibility isn't your best feature huh.

Now who looks stupid? Now we are all informed.

You keep exposing your stupidity. You didn't read the article because it has a paywall....so why are you pretending you did?

Bold.

I'm stopping at the bold. Why? Because Condor is lying again. If one accesses the article and scrolls down, one sees that the shading of the map changes as messages corresponding to the reason for the change propagate at the bottom and rise at the time. Condor knows that would be impossible/hell to copy/paste. So what Condor does is lie.

Moreover, there are multiple maps in that article.

Moreover, there is far more text. Here is a snippet:

Homicide arrest rates vary widely when examined by the race of the victim: An arrest was made in 63 percent of the killings of white victims, compared with 48 percent of killings of Latino victims and 46 percent of the killings of black victims. Almost all of the low-arrest zones are home primarily to low-income black residents. The data, which The Post is making public, is more precise than the national homicide data published annually by the FBI. The federal data fails to distinguish whether a case was closed due to an arrest or other circumstances, such as the death of the suspect, and does not have enough detail to allow for the mapping of unsolved homicides. In Omaha, police made an arrest in nearly 60 percent of homicides across the city. But the 12-block area where Dickson was killed saw an arrest in just 15 percent of its homicides. “It’s one of the best indicators of how well a police department and a community work together,” said Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer. “If a police department can’t solve the greatest crime, the most egregious crime affecting society, what faith would you have in that police department?”

That's from OP's link. The full article looks like it has to be 10-20 pages long. But Condor says the bit quoted is the entirety.

Why did Condor lie (again) about the contents of a source?

I think Condor060 should stop lying. Don't you?

I posted it. You lied. You got caught. Lying more isn't going to help you.

Yes, Condor060 should definitely stop lying. But I don't think he knows how.

Nice try.

WaPo is the only news outlet I subscribe to...it's only a $4 a month and well worth it. You should subscribe, too...especially if you want to stay informed. It's free if you're in the military or work for the government.

Until then, I'm just going to have write you off as grossly uninformed with no credibilty on this subject.

De-fund the police, eh? Brilliant.

What do minority neighborhoods want after the police pull back after an incident similar to Floyd?

They want their police back. Why wouldn't this proposed de-funding of the police simply end up the same?

The 'Broken Windows Theory' approach has a track record of results such as shown in New York city, which led to significant drop in violent crime.
Why wouldn't something that works be implemented instead?
