Senator Lindsey Graham: 'If America pulls the plug on Israel, God will pull the plug on us'

https://www.ynetnews.com/article/h152w11iuex

IMHO, Lindsey Graham is a Washington parasite, a NeoCon warmongering scumbag, and an Israel-Firster.
The day he and his ilk are booted from our government will be a great day for America.

What an asshole!

Does he think we believe he's got a direct pipeline to the fairy tale 'god'?

If America goes down it won't be because 'god' did anything. It will go down because the idiot who thinks he's 'god' is too stupid to run an ice cream stand

What is your definition of an "Israel Firster?"
Somebody who puts the interests of Israel ahead of the interests of the United States. We see American politicians, Republican and Democrat, do this time and again. For example, Sen. Ted Cruz recently said in an interview, “I came to the Senate committed to being the leading defender of Israel.” Trump recently bombed Iran, which hadn’t attacked America first, which is something Israel has wanted the U.S. to do for years, despite the incredibly negative consequences a war with Iran would have for Americans. And when Israel attacked a U.S. Navy vessel in 1967 and killed 34 American sailors and wounded scores more under deeply suspicious circumstances, American politicians continued to support Israel and give them aid. When the American traitor Jonathan Pollard stole thousands of top-secret national security documents and gave them over to the Israelis, who then handed many of them over to the Soviets in return for releasing Soviet Jews, the Israeli government pressured U.S. presidents to release Pollard from prison until Obama finally did (and Clinton almost did).

Blinken going on a diplomatic trip to Israel as the leading and chief diplomat of the American empire and saying, "I come to you not only as an American, but as a Jew" has to be one of the most absurd things I've seen in foreign relations, particularly because it was a liberal administration.

WE don't need to pull our support from our best ally in the Middle East.
I disagree that Israel is our "best" ally.
I’ve outlined this history before, but it bears repeating in the current moment:
The government of Israel has done HORRIBLE things to the United States over the years. For example, during the 1950’s, the Mossad plotted to bomb American facilities overseas and blame them on their enemies (such as the Egyptians). This is known as the Lavon Affair. In 1967, during the Six-Day War, the IDF attacked the U.S.S. Liberty, an American vessel, and killed 34 Americans sailors and wounded 171. The Israelis claimed it was an accident, but the circumstances surrounding the attack were DEEPLY suspicious and members of the U.S. government and the commander of the Liberty always believed it was deliberate. In the 1980’s, Jonathan Pollard, a Jewish-American who worked as a counter-terrorism analyst for the U.S. Navy, handed over THOUSANDS of top-secret national security documents to the Israelis in exchange for money and jewels. The Israelis later turned over many of these documents to the Soviet Union in exchange for allowing the emigration of Soviet Jews to the Jewish State. Furthermore, the Israelis hailed the traitor Pollard as a national hero and tried to pressure a number of American presidents into releasing him from federal prison until Obama finally did. During the 2000’s, there was another Israeli spy scandal involving AIPAC.

Oops, forgot to mention that after the Israelis handed over OUR top-secret documents to the Soviets (the ones that Pollard stole), a number of our CIA agents behind the Iron Curtain were exposed and murdered.

Fair enough.

I don't agree with your characterization that Trump bombed Iran on behalf of Israel. IMO (and with my subsequent support) he did it to prevent Iran from achieving the development of Nuclear weapons. That might have some secondary benefits for Israel, but I have seen too many movies on terrorist organizations using a nuclear weapon to allow a terrorist nation to get ahold of any ability to produce them. I believe Trump bombed those Iranian facilities to protect the USA, and Israel was just a bonus beneficiary.

And when Israel attacked a U.S. Navy vessel in 1967 and killed 34 American sailors and wounded scores more under deeply suspicious circumstances, American politicians continued to support Israel and give them aid.

Well, you might wonder why President Johnson acted the way he did, or you can read the Wiki on the event. The Israelis said it was an honest mistake, as no American ships were supposed to be at that locale at the time it occurred. To be honest, I see no reason for Israel to intentionally anger the USA, and so while tragic I'd put it down to an unintentional error until proven otherwise.

Pollard didn't "hand them over" to anyone. According to Wikipedia Mr. Pollard sold them for personal profit. Having said that, I do not excuse the Israelis for their purchase of, and use/sale/exchanges of those files.

I am, on the other hand, not going to judge Israel too harshly. I see a nation surrounded by several other nations that wish it's total destruction, and having little faith in the support of "Western nations" who wish to keep in good graces with oil producing countries. I admire the Jews for finally reclaiming most of their historical homeland, and if it were me I would do whatever it took to preserve that homeland.

Because it's impossible to be critical of Israel (or America's billions in military welfare to it) and not be antisemitic.
I’ve spent the better part of three decades reading about Jews and their history. In fact, I’m currently doing research for an essay I plan to write and self-publish on anti-Semitism and the rise of Nazism in Munich, Germany in the early 1920’s.
There are few people who are more pro-Jewish than I am. I think there are many great Jews, including in Israel, but I hate the current Israeli Government.

Not good enough for MAGAs. Any criticism of Israel is antisemitic!

I’ve had a few DP members (from Right and Left) here suggest that I’m anti-Semitic. That always amuses me because I’ve admired the Jewish people for years and read dozens of books and literally thousands of articles on Jews. I can tell you the most obscure facts about Jews that I’ll bet even many Jews don’t know. I’m a rabid philo-Semite, not an anti-Semite.

Trump is a race baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot.

Best ally?

Best ALLY?

What ally has killed as many American citizens as Israel has during the time that they have been our ally? To my knowledge, no Israeli has ever been criminally prosecuted in Israel for the many instances in which they intentionally killed American citizens, even for a lesser charge like manslaughter.

What the Hell has Israel done for us that has earned them billions of dollars of free top-grade military hardware year in, year out?

They are just a testing ground for our military equipment, and the main reason our Military Industrial Complex has as much business as it does. Nothing more.
