The new GOP-majority Congress has gotten off to an energetic start, and that includes legislation to scuttle the Obama’s executive amnesty. Senator Sessions endorses the Repeal Executive Amnesty Act of 2015, H.R.191, authored by Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL).

NumbersUSA has a list of what the bill would do:

• Prohibit the President’s use of granting parole to illegal aliens

• Prohibit the Administration from granting work permits to all illegal aliens

• Defund all executive actions on immigration, including all memos issued by the Department of Homeland Security

• Close the loophole that played a large role in last summer’s border surge by treating illegal aliens from non-contiguous countries the same as contiguous countries, making them easier to remove

• Prohibit illegal aliens from accessing Social Security, medicare, and benefits from the Affordable Care Act

• Reinstate the Secure Communities program

• Restrict federal funding to municipalities that provide sanctuary to illegal aliens

• Prohibit the government from providing legal council to illegal aliens in removal proceedings

• Restrict the Administration’s ability to grant and extend Temporary Protected Status to illegal aliens

Here’s a press release from Senator Sessions concerning the legislation:

that is a start but Mr. obstruction will veto it.
and even if he doesn't it won't make it through the senate. the democrat obstructionists will stop it.

they need these people in the country and groups like ACORN and other to sign them up to vote.

Or, we could have border security, limited immigration, and voter ID laws and the dems lose power..

All :failpail: arguments that GOP leaders give lip service to but have already dismissed.

Where is the GOP House plan for immigration reform, the one they've been PROMISING for the last two years?

The one that got Cantor fired over by TEA party radicals !

That was not immigration reform that was amnesty..

Secure the border first then America will decide..

We don't need immigration reform.

no one considers amnesty immigration reform.
This is a start.

illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced to six-year terms.

deport foreigners who are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” violate US law, are not “physically or mentally healthy” or lack the “necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents

Mexico's Immigration Law

Just change mexico to US. that is a start.

Senator Sessions is awesome.

Senator Sessions is awesome.

He is great, the people love him, hell he ran unopposed in his election just because the dems knew they could not destroy this man... I think he should run for the White House.

Every time I get pissed off at Shelby (I am from Alabama. Our other senator is a douche) I think of Sessions and breathe.

Jeff Sessions is a good old Alabama piece of ****. He rightfully belongs in Alabama.

How is he going to make President Obama sign it? It seems to me this is just a waste of time. I doubt any president would sign it, as it would limit the executive powers of the POTUS and could be used as a presedent in future legislation. Sessions is playing politics IMHO.

Make him veto it, and then get some dems to help over ride it as they can not lose any more of their voter base...

Really so not protecting the border against a endless wave of crime, poverty, and disease is not playing politics?

I wasn't throwing feces, I was identifying some of it.

How is he a piece of ****? How is securing the border not a mandate and important thing?

How is repealing the law the leftist used to allow in the last wave of illegals a great thing?

We need more immigrants, not less.

We need more immigrants, not less.

No, we do not.

We all ready take in more then a million legally, plus God know how many illegally.

We do not need more then 200,000 people a year and even then it should be only highly skilled labor as ot not suppress wages, burden taxpayers and systems, and effect our demographics, culture, and politics.

It's not a waste of time revealing who "the party of no" really is.

It's not a waste of time revealing who "the party of no" really is.

Neither is the party of no - I offer the national debt as evidence. We need to elect representatives capable of actually making choices and simply saying no to spending more than they will dare ask for in taxation.

I don't disagree. I was merely highlighting the hypocrisy of some.

Believe me, when Jeb Bush, and Krispy Kreme are the GOP front runners, I have little faith in repubes today.

After this push for gun control Krispy Kreme is finished..Done.

Jeb Bush and his support for common core and his statement of illegal immigration is "an act of love" after the wave of illegals that crossed..He is done.
