Among the key edits: removing the decrease in pay for Fed Reserve staff, capping funding for the CFPB and eliminating the PCAOB.

I suspect the next step in the process is that the MAGA goobers in the Senate will fire her and replace her with someone more in line with their thinking…perhaps someone who flunked out of eighth grade.

Indeed. They support the Parlimentarian when she rules against Dems and not when she rules against them.

They already have the ability to put their priorities into law, taxes and judges, with a simple majority. No need to go all in on killing the filibuster.

Can our Moron in Charge be anymore ****ing obvious on why these are in the Big Brainless Bill??

Unexpectedly, the GOP Senate version of Trump's 'Big, Ugly Tax Act' is even more draconian than the GOP House version.

Millions more Americans would lose their Medicaid health insurance.

They’re really showing Americans just how little they care about them, aren’t they?

Big money interests are all that matter.

Oh yeah. That'll cause some butthurt.

It'll be like the CBO...the bitching about "bias" will start up, prompting calls for "reform" (someone else who is more MAGA-friendly).

I'm surprised that Trump hasn't fired her already. Perhaps replacing her with a 22 year old Gardener. Oh wait, the 22 year old gardener is already overseeing Counter Terrorism Efforts. Wait, I just found a 17 year old Gamer who says that math is easy. He has three AI apps to help him out.

The problem is that the One Big Beautiful Bill Act hurts Republican voters disproportionately more in red states. It will be especially devastating to rural areas and small towns.

It promises to savagely cut Medicaid and food stamps, programs that disproportionately help Trump-supporting rural areas.

Almost 40% of children are covered by Medicaid, with some of the highest percentages in deep red states like Alabama and Mississippi.

Furthermore, rural America has long had a problem of hospital closures: It’s hard for hospitals to stay in business given both low population density and limited ability of patients to pay. The Beautiful Bill will accelerate this trend, so that even rural residents who can afford care may very well find it geographically out of reach.

Regarding this thread, the House loaded the BBB with provisions that can’t be put in a reconciliation bill. The OP outlined one of those.

You know the good news about hurting all those rural Trump voters is this. They won't be alive to vote for Republicans in the future. They'll be moderately injured and die on the way to a Hospital far far away. They'll lose their Farms and Businesses and die homeless begging for scraps. They'll commit crimes to feed their families and be shot by other Republicans who are "standing their ground" against lawlessness. Or they'll be arrested and as criminals be unable to vote Republican. I'm not seeing a downside here.

Or, they’ll finally learn that Trump is a phony, who wants tax cuts for billionaires paid by cuts to them.

In recent polling roughly 8% of Trump Voters regret their vote. Consider that for just a moment. Farmers are filing for bankruptcy because of the tariffs and cuts to grants and such. Still only eight percent say they screwed up. Small business owners are failing because ICE is rounding up the Green Card holders. And it is only 8%.

Most of those rural voters would go to their graves convinced that it was anyone’s fault but their own.

Rural folks are going to have their air and water increasingly poisoned while their access to healthcare recedes.

But we dumped a few hundred million dollars of munitions on Iran and blew through billions of dollars of immigration enforcement rounding up hispanic-looking people for Trump’s horrorpiece political theater.

They should stop trying to sneak things in the bill that aren’t reconciliation which is the process they’ve chosen. Anyways these hypocrites are well positioned to further explode US debt. What an actual embarrassment of the values they pretend they support.

Im most worried about the inability to regulate AI. Why isnt the parliamentarian worried about that?

Not in a budget bill. If one is concerned about AI write a law.
