You managed to do it, didn't you? People did get it don't didn't they?
And no, silly and dishonest comparisons to the Soviet Union will only work in your mind. You're wrong about many things, and this is just one more area in which your take your hyperbole too far.
Yeah, what a dumb comparison. The soviet union was a single party state that had a strong central government that meddled in the affairs of it's citizens a great deal. The US, on the other hand, is a single party state with a strong central government that........oh....never mind. :doh
What are you using to make this forecast?
Yes, you are wrong. You go to jail for not paying the tax and not for not having insurance.
And as there is a hardship clause, not having the money is not really a barrier. Does she pay taxes? If she does, then she does so already and can simply have a few dollars more taken out a month. 2.5% would not be that noticeable.
Again, don;t make excuses and be accurate about what is written. No one goes to jail for not having insurance. You have to break a second law.
One leads to the other. When people say that they can't afford the insurance it is because all other necessary bills get in the way. It means that they are living pay check to pay check (and sometimes the bills still don't get paid fully). Even a 2.5% loss could put a person out on the street. They may never get out of debt. Especially when the IRS charges interest.
One: the war in Iraq is finished. Has been for quite a while.
Two: why link the two? They are two seperate issues that have nothing to do with each other. Linking the two would only confuse things. Is that what you want?

So my 20+ years doing casework doesn't count. If I don't know what is involved, I must be a big ignoramus and thoroughly incompetent then.
Am I wrong?

If someone CANNOT afford insurance, the government will not "fine" them. They will get vouchers so they can purchase a healthcare plan.
1- the war isn't over. do we still have troops there? are they still getting killed? we'll be occupying Iraq for the the next 50+ years.
Yes,a family of four will get $10,000 credit for a $20,000 plan....They still have to cough up $833 a month.
I was, but nice changing the subject. As you know the Rx law was microscopic compared to this thing.Nice dramatics.
Am certain you were just as upset with the Medicare Medication Bill a few years ago when politicians jumped in bed with pharmaceuticals. Once again it appeared initially these politicians were doing something good for their citizens. But as always like alley cats they were in the cheap motel rooms with the pharmaceuticals. It was then just coincidence that many of the congressmen who orchestrated that ripoff are now lobbyists for the pharmaceutical companies.
Now that this initially nobel plan has been perversed with kickbacks am certain many of these congressmen will have a nice little Christmas present from the pharmaceuticals and maybe even a surprize lobbyist job awaiting them.
Now, back to the usual Rep vs Dem farce.
House Dems had control for 40 years prior to 1994, where were they then on this? And it's suddenly a rush.Bush and company already distroyed this once great nation. Your children can thank them. It only took 6 years of republican rule to bring it down.
Merry Christmas
PS I still will never understand why the GOP did nothing about heathcare when they had all the power. Now they whine.
Ummm....We are withdrawing our troops per our agreement with Iraq.

Withdrawing does not equal no troops present. Get back to me when the last American soldier leaves the country.
anyone who can't connect:
1. buy insurance or pay a fine
2. don't pay the fine and go to jail
needs help with counting
sesame street might be a good start
we know, we know, you told us
"their" is no imprisonment for not buying insurance
"their's" just jail time for not paying the fine imposed for not buying insurance
that's a very important and significant point
merits endless repetition
