Link: Senate approves $9 billion in cuts to foreign aid, public broadcasting funding
Long past time to nuke the CPB subsidy. This was the lead story on an NPR newscast I heard in the car this morning. They reported that NPR gets 5% of its funding from taxpayers, and PBS gets 5%. Or it may be the other way around; either way it's 5% and 15%. Easily sustainable cutbacks. If they can't find a way to survive, then Big Bird deserves to be fricasseed.
