Sen. Dodd, D-Conn., slashed aviation security funding for pet constituency

Because its people who supported him. Is it really that hard for you to grasp the connection here?

You assume that there is a payoff, but that is merely speculation fueled by your partisanship. Does the fact that republicans are getting money from groups opposed to the health care bill mean they are merely paying off their donors?

Do you not understand they vote on the whole page not just the amendment when they actually vote on the bill?

U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Legislative Process > Senate Legislative Process

The Senate may dispose of each amendment either by voting on it directly or by voting to table it.

By the way, voting for something, whether it is an individual item or a package signifies support.

Hysterical. You quote it and still wont admit it:

SA 1458. Mr. DODD (for himself, Mr.
LIEBERMAN, and Mr. CARPER) submitted an
amendment intended to be proposed to

So he got 2 of his Democrat buddies to sign on and somehow that takes the responsibility out of his hands? Are you really that naive?

You claimed the amendment changed a bunch of stuff, then offered the wall of text as proof. The wall of text makes only a brief reference to the amendment, and does not prove your point. Do try and keep up.

If you're one of Dodd's political support groups it makes perfect sense.

Whats amazing is you cannot admit this benefits only one Senator, Dodd. He got 2 of his buddies to go along with it because that is how dirty politics works. It happens on both sides but you are so blinded by partisanship you can't even admit that this was Dodd's amendment even when it states verbatim that it is.

How does it benefit only one senator?

And you still can't justify taking the money from airport security instead of submitting a new bill. Your partisanship here is really sad. If this was a Republican who took money for a local supporter of his I would call it for what it is as well. Pity you can't when its your own party.

I can and have justified it. The money went to a program which will benefit more people.

If they pull money to specifically fund a donor who just so happened to support them of course.

Did you not read when I said anyone who voted for the amendment shared culpability? That doesn't chage the author or who directly benefited from it.

Ah yes another dodge instead of addressing the actual person who brought forth the amendment. So typical.

How does it benefit only one senator?

Its his district. They campaigned with him. Please try reading the article.

LOL Really. How exactly does this union benefit more people when airports see thousands of new people every single day?

This should be good.
