My family kills things for a living and then people eat them
My husband also sits on NUMEROUS boards and works very closely with conservationists from numerous universities and organizations and government authorities to make sure that quotas, etc. are designed to maintain the integrity of species, their breeding seasons, the breeding stock and the overall health of a species.
I get that you may not personally agree with eating any sort of animal - but humans are omnivores.
Not only that, but in order to grow crops to feed all the humans on this planet - other species ARE killed. In order to live in communities and have the material things that you are accustomed to - things have died

. And will continue to die to maintain a very delicate balance.
That's the cycle of life. You may not like it, but it just is.
If you don’t want to eat meat

don’t.
Those of us out here that do it for a living care more about making sure the practices that move food from the environment to people’s stomachs are ethical and sustainable - because they’re going to continue. If the cycle stops, so do humans.
