See How Many Animals Are Killed For Our Food

Vegetables are what food eats.

You think that is bad, try to imagine how many animals would be just outright slaughtered to provide a complete vegetarian diet for the world.

How come no one has ever seen a baby pigeon?

www.animlaclock.org breaks down how many animals are butchered to maintain our demand for meat. It's kind of gross but enlightening
Your link doesn’t work.

Otherwise, good for us for tracking the population of animals that are killed for consumption and making sure we do not drive species to extinction.

Humans are omnivores.

I don't care that people DON'T eat meat...but its laughably hypocritical for people that live in cities where animal habitat has been destroyed and eat vegetables on farms where millions of animals have been killed to grow their food (and left rotting in the ground) to pretend to give a **** about animals.

We are vegetarian, have been for many years now.
I am hoping that we can respect each other's choices.

Steaks come wrapped in plastic, that's all anyone needs to know.
Not if you buy them from an actual butcher instead of at a grocery store.

My butcher wraps all our beef in paper. Then I bring it home and repackage it in heavier plastic and vacuum seal it for long term freezing.

It;

It's healthier if one can kill their own to eat.
Hunting.
I don't suggest shooting the farmer's cows for beef LOL

They would probably get very angry about that and I have yet to see any "wild" cows roaming around in all my years LOL.

I think this topic is like most topics...the issue doesnt really become 'the issue' until someone tries to force change on others.
