Is Biden doubling down on making migrants a campaign issue?

Cabinet heads and White House officials will meet Friday morning to discuss a range of pressing immigration issues — including "litigation options" to respond to GOP governors transporting unauthorized immigrants from the border to other parts of the country, according to planning documents viewed by Axios.

  • Border officials are now encountering an average of 8,500 migrants and asylum-seekers a day — a strikingly high number, according to government data provided to Axios.
Behind the scenes: While details of what might be proposed in the meetingwhich was scheduled before the DeSantis move — are unclear,

They sent two plane loads to Martha's Vineyard. Can you think of many places that have more lawyers per capita than there? I doubt the Biden Administration will have to touch this.

Aaah now I get it, these folks where used as not only pawns, but as a vote getter for the GOP, still its deplorable.

Who didn't predict an immigration crisis? The motivation for the immigration is even greater now that they're being shipped directly to states with superior welfare benefits package. They're no dummies, neither are the Republicans. The only fools here are the Democrats who are trying to land on the right side of a issue they themselves caused.

The old White establishment hates when they have to live like everyone else. So after they flood the vineyard with these illegal alien invaders, I think they should start looking into installing some massive wind and solar farms. Even though these so called progressives are the biggest pushers of ending the use of fossil fuels, I haven't seen one windmill or solar panel in any of the clips from up there. Despicable. So why don't we send about 5000 illegal aliens up there and let them build windmills. Litter the horizon with them.

How do you suppose Floridians feel about their tax dollars being used for a political stunt that doesn't even concern their own state?

What good does it do Americans when you add 3 million jobs and let 3 million illegal aliens in to take them? MAGA

Why is it Biden won't get off his dead ass and secure the borders?

Republicans are now the cartel party.

Sue away. The point has already been made. A lawsuit won't erase it, and that suit will drag on and on. In the meantime, I encourage border states to continue the practice, unless a restraining order is somehow accomplished. I certainly don't mind if the Biden administration puts the border crisis in the headlines. Go for it.

Hee Hee! This is a no-win for Biden.

He sic's the DOJ on Florida and Texas, he ends up putting the border issue front and center.

The problem with that? His handling of the border issue sucks. And that's what the GOP will use to counter his move.

The GOP will advertise the numbers that the BP is dealing with. And the BP will be more happy to help there, since they hate Biden. That and what the border cities have to deal with!

How was it those migrants got into Florida? Apparently, you don't see how that concerns your state.

DeSantis flew them from TX to FL then to MA with FL taxpayer money.

Are you sure they didn't get there by a Biden Admin-sponsored secret night flight?

Which, incidentally, he could legally do, which contrasts with the illegals right to invade the US. You don't seem to have a problem with the base problem.

Someone pointed out that this political stunt causes them to miss their court dates. This means that they would likely be denied asylum due to failure to appear, right? Congress should pass an amnesty for immigrants who are being sabotaged by these governors.

That is up for debate. He may very well have violated one or more federal laws, one being potentially kidnapping.
