Thankfully the US elected the most anti intellectual and anti science regime possible that also wants to scrap FEMA. And the states that helped usher this in, totally aren’t the ones that will be hit the hardest by this.

Also thankfully the NWS is being gutted as well and this totally won’t impact the ability to track any of this weather accurately.

If you look at the literature, the specific meaning of the 97% claim is: 97 percent of climate scientists agree that there is a global warming trend and that human beings are the main cause--that is, that we are over 50% responsible. The warming is a whopping 0.8 degrees over the past 150 years, a warming that has tapered off to essentially nothing in the last decade and a half.

Last year the climate cult predicted a really bad hurricane season. Then when it hadn't happened in August, they changed their "predictions" and blamed a dust cloud from Africa. Then the late season insanity happened and they reversed themselves again and said, "see, we were right the whole time".

The US withdrew from a bad agreement.

The US has invested billions in combatting pollution, and has put strict controls on industry to reduce it. And again, we've been reducing pollution over the past 4 decades while increasing output.

China keeps pumping out pollution at an increasing rate, and has invested in dirty, inefficient coal plants that will be around for decades.
 
Isn't this partly the fault of extreme environments such as RFK Jr. who have for years rallied against nuclear power??

India essentially emits as much as the US - as does the EU. And back to my point - China emits THREE TIMES as much and is increasing. We cannot address greenhouse gasses without addressing China and India.

People have it in their head that climate change is an event that will occur someday (rather than a process that goes on indefinitely, gradually lowering everyone's standard of living) or it's some fakery dreamed up by Soros and his evil minions.

Humans can't be saved from themselves.
