I think in most other countries with racial diversity and without the long history of soft apartheid that the USA had and still has, the figures are closer to 100%.
"Wokeness" is simply an effort to pull things the other way - admittedly too much at the moment but staying as you were until the 1960s was not sustainable in the long term.

Oh, it's due to wokeness indoctrination. I thought it was due to 400 years of institutionalized racism.

I don't think it's too much at the moment, though. What the anti-wokeness movement tends to do is to take an isolated example of some egregious violation of common sense and to deliberately take it out of context and turn it into something of a meme.

Anti-wokeness is a 100% pro-racial apartheid movement. It's just that since black people actually have greater status in society than they did in 1890 or 1960, it's easier to dress it up as an effort to improve equality from going too far. In reality, however, anti-wokeness is not about preventing equality from going too far; it's an effort to delegitimize and weaken the policies and institutions that have enforced those civil rights gains to begin with.

The same is true of the attacks on so-called groomers. These attacks are not efforts to prevent gay rights from lowering standards of public decency; it is a movement to delegitimize gains that the LGBT community has made in terms of recognition and status.

Both of these are counter-revolutions, and counter-revolutions are not to be thought of as innocuous brakes on social progress. They are regressive, and they act with the purpose of destroying the protections that minority groups have.
 
It's more than "OK" -- according to the millions of people from Latin America and Africa and Asia that are at this very moment planning to emigrate to Canada, the States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
 
Why would anyone need a poll to tell them it's okay to be white, or black, or brown, or whatever?

Of course it's okay to be absolutely anything you were born to be. American citizens are welcome in any shape or form or color. Equality for all should never be based on polling.

I got over the "color thingy" a within a couple years in the Navy, and I can honestly say that I was a racist little prick before I joined.

I think many ex military on here would agree that civilians seem to struggle with race & ethnicity far more than the military. We had to rely on each other in the military so we had to learn how to accept and get along.

I'm not saying that I didn't witness racial incidents, but they were few and far between.

I really wish that half of our country hadn't fought a war to continue human trafficking. I really wish that human trafficking had never started. I really wish that a ton of people still defend all that by any means necessary (covert or obvious).
 
The fact that this poll was created, then of course weaponized by the OP, speaks volumes as to why we have a very long way to go.
