Problem the democrats have, is that Trump did not coordinate or incite the violence on the 6th.....while the riots were bad and uncalled for, they were nothing in comparison to the summer of 2020 and the myriads of democrats inciting violence across the country. This cannot be denied, albeit not all democrats were supporting the violence, but many most definitely were and condoned the unrest which went on for several months. You don't see that as a fundamental threat to American democracy but most do and that is the reason they realize he should never, ever see the Oval office again. Then there is the cavalier and illegal retainment of highly sensitive government documents at his resort. Since when have Republicans moved to such casual position on National security?

As Schiff said, it would be a unanimous vote among committee members. I trust them to do the right thing. If they choose to make referrals, then so be it. Nothing can make it any more political than it already is.

In the end, the J-6 committee has seen more evidence than anyone else has to date. We, the public have only seen a fraction of that evidence. If they have something solid, I expect them to make the referral. I also expect and encourage the committee to turn over everything they have to the DOJ when they have wrapped up. Here are the facts we learned from the select committee proceedings.

There's a phrase in the second Eastman memo that describes sending the slates back to the legislature to be changed to trump.

There's a phrase in the second Eastman memo that talks about creating a delay.

On Jan 4, it was clear that Pence refused to go along.

On January 4 it was clear that no state legislature was willing to change their slate.

It was clear before that, that objections to a state slate would not be concurred in either chamber and the 12A would not be invoked.
